Carmel church summer hours
In counting our blessings
We find when we're through
We've no reason at all
To complain or be blue
So thank God for good things
He has already done
And be grateful to Him
For the battles you've won.
Such a lovely day with the sun
shining and the sanctuary filled
with organ music by Carolyn Love
and on piano Dorothy Taylor. Rev.
Mark issued the call to worship and
gave the prayer of adoration. The
psalm of praise and pentecost
reading were followed by the prayer
of confession and assurance of
pardon. The prayer of illumination
and the reading from the Old Tes-
tament preceded the gospel lesson.
Rev. Mark's sermon was most
interesting. The choir sang an an-
them entitled 'I'm Following Jesus
Each Step of the Way'. The affir-
mation of iaith and the prayers of
the people were in order before the
hymn Presentation of our Gifts and
Offerings followed. The doxology
and prayer of dedication, the final
hymn and charge of the people
were the final order of worship
before the benediction and choral
amens.
Rev. Mark will be on holidays
from Aug. 6 - Sept. 4. In the event
of a pastoral emergency please
contact Elder James Dougall, 235-
1778 or Elder Robert, 263-6349.
