Council also advised Mr. Binneo-
dyk, Mr. Young and Mrs. McKay
that if they wish to make any

damages. letters should be for-
warded and they will be dealt with
by Tuckersmith's insurance com-
pany. Mr. Biru>rendylr rowed that he
is considering billing the township
for his basement damages, and that
he is waiting to sec what action
Tuckersmith will take on the
problem.
"But they'd better du
something..", he remarked.
Queensway throws their diets out the window
Fun and Fitness energized
everyone as they waled through
their exercise routine Monday mor-
ning. It sears to be the ideal way
to start the day. In the afternoon,
residents tried their hands at baking
oatmeal date turnover cookies. As
usual, we had to taste -test several
before pronouncing than a success!
Tuesday's church service was a
combination of scripture reading
and verses contributed by several
residents, which they have found
meaningful in their lives. We'd like
to thank Phyllis Desjardine for
being pianist and Tom and Robert
Desjardine for providing special
music.
A talent show at Northside church
in Seaforth, hosted by Maplewood
Manor, on Wednesday was the
highlight of our week. Several
people travelled to Seaforth, some
to entertain, several to enjoy being
an audience. Stuart McEwen
contributed two fiddle tunes, Lloyd
McDougall whistled a couple of
selections and Mildred Gingerich
did a humorous reading entitled
"The Joys of Aging". We were
thrilled to be a part of the after-
noon.
Thursday seemed the perfect day
to feature "Building Your Own Ice
Hensall Library 'Crazy
Daze' set for tomorrow

Hensall Library will host a "Crazy
Daze" fun time tomorrow, July 26
from 4 - 5 p.m. All five to eleven -
year -olds are invited to join us for
games, songs and some "crazy"
good times. Admission is free. This
program is provided by the Huron
County Library.
Hensall Playground is hallway
through its third program week.
Activities in the last five days have
included a tour of Thompson's, Tie
Dyeing and a presentation from
"Arrive Alive", an organization to
prevent drinking and driving.
Shuffleboard scores for July 17
are: Six game winners - E.
Campbell (415), G. Moir (369), T.
Theil (364), G. Davidson (336) and
M. Consitt (333). Five game win-
ners were J. Pepper (336), and H.
McKay (297).
ENGAGEMENT
Barbara Winteringham of Mitchell is pleas-
ed to announce the engagement of her
daughter Tammy Carolynn to Richard
Stephen DeJong son of Robbie and Marie
DeJong RR 2 Monkton. The wedding is to
take place Sept. 7/91 in St. Cotumban An
open reception to follow in Mitchell.

we auempted to decide what to

Several residents decided on a little
bit of everything! "Oklahoma", was
the featured video on Thursday
evening, well attended by musical
lovers.
Friday, we recovered from our
busy week with relaxing walks
outdoors after the rain showers
stopped. Gardens and grass smells
so fresh after the rain.
Please note the change in time for
our Birthday Party, it is July 26 at
2 p.m., not 7 with entertainment by
Gladys Van Egmond and Group.
August 1 at 2 p.m. is our trip to
Bill Gibson's home.

If you've aver wondered how the Town of Seaforth spends its money
in one month then read on. For the month of June 1990 the town spent
$108,730.73 and this amount excludes regular salaries.
The largest payment paid out by the town in June was $45,448.50 to
the County of Huron as part of Seaforth's levy. McKillop Mutual was
paid $7,000.00 and $3,266.25 as payments on debentures. B.M. Ross &
Associates received $8,038.08 for engineering services for various
projects, including roads. Seaforth and District Community Centre was
paid $8,003.00 as its quarterly instalment.
Seaforth's monthly sanitary sewer maintenance charges were .
$7,578.67 payable to the Ministry of the Environment. The Mid -Huron
Landfill Site Board received $4,018.00 as an instalment for yearly
operating costs.
Seaforth PUC recelved d $1,866.05 and $1,227.96. The Huron County
Police Commission System received $1,778.53. Two private companies
received $1,721.79 and $1,382.02 for services.
