no to Legion golf
Our sympathies have to go out to
our hard- working Spurts Officer
Linda thus week. After all of ha
planning and hard work, the
weather man dealt a knockout blow
to bet men's golf tourniunentlast
Saturday. Aha a couple of holes
she had to call the game orf but
hopes to reschedule u sir meu ne in
September. In the meantime, there
is a mixed scramble coming up on
July 28 at 2 p.m. at our local golf
course. Maybe the weather will
co-operate.
It has come to the attention of our
Padre Frank Golding that there are
Funeral Memorial Services
available for Associate members of
the Legion if the family desires. We
hope none of our younger
will have to avail themselves of
this, but it is there if you should
desire it.
It is forty-seven years last week
since the Canadian Army invaded
Sicily. That action in Sicily and
Italy seems to come and go with no
mention in papers. Canada had two
divisions in Italy, and a lot of ow
Conirades lost that lives in the
ltaliiui and he buried w
ceinicttries afar by the War
Graves commission.
The Ladies Auxiliary are holding
another of their popular Sunday
Dinners this Sunday July 22. They
hope to see a good turn out again.
To those of our Comrades who
are in hospitals we wish you a
speedy recovery and hope to see
you in the Branch soon.
