MUSICAL TALENT Leanne Vo`els, Janet Murphy and Kim and Darryl Diesel attended the C.M.L. music competition at Bui- geman Park, Kitchener on Sunday. Leanne received an adjudiwwr award for ba sok) with a mark of 90, and a first in the artist class solo. Janet reoived a third in her artist class solo. Kim received a scholarship award for her effort. Teale guitar players arc students of Ron Frayne in Mitchell and were also part of two guitar bands that received a 1st and 2nd placement for their efforts. The Glanville reunion was held on Sunday at Lions Part, Seaforth, with a fairly large attendance. , Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hubley of Seaforth called on Mrs. Terry Ward of Monkton on Thursday. SOMER V ILLE REUNION Seventy-five descendants of the late William and Doris Somerville attended a reunion at Lions Park Seaforth on Sunday July 8, after swimming and races, a delicious supper was served. Prizes went to Archie Somerville as the eldest person. Michael McLeod from Belle River, great-grandson of Mrs. Helen Kirkby of Seaforth, for the youngest person. The person who travelled the furthest distance was Kari Tremblay and her family of Windsor, granddaughter of Helen Kirkby. A jelly bean guessing contest was won by Brenda Campbell, RR #4 Walton. ALL THE BETTER TO WEIGH YOU WITH Harry Jacklin, representing the Huron District Canadian Foresters, was on hand last Tuesday to present Seaforth Community Hospital CEO Don Smith with the Foresters' gift of a set of wheelchair scales for the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ken MacDonald have returned from an enjoyable trip to England and tour of Ireland. They visited Margarets' sister and brother in England. Many memories were rekindled Tuesday afternoon as we viewed a film featuring "Canada". Wednesday afternoon, Reverend Sloan was unable to make our church service. A hymn sing and spiritual reading from Pat Ryan and Marg Smale were enjoyed by all. At night, our three working ladies Penny Coza, Maxine Elliou and Gladys Ruston ventured off to Stratford. Happy 80th Birthday HARVEY CRAIG July 17 Lake Victoria on Juliet III. Thursday began with everyone limbering up their bodies with morning exercises. Thinking caps were put on in the afternoon as we met for Trivia and Word Games. We've got quite a group of spellers! With the heat of the week lingering, everyone eagerly plunged into their Do It Yourself sundaes at our Ice Cream Parlour on Friday afternoon.
