—Mr. W. H. Hele, has sold his house
and lot ou Catherine street to Mr. Robert
Lockhart, of West Wawanosh, who in-
tends moving to Wingham. We under-
stand the price paid was $1850.
—Inspector Burgess, of North Grey
says that two Schools in his inspectorate
have been vacant since midsummer holi-
days owing to the inability of the trus-
tees to secure qualified teachers.
—Tho Fordwich Record last week
entered its tenth year. Brer. Watters
has beau in charge for over two years
and he is publishing a newsy paper.

—Mr. John Taugher, received word
t his week of the death of his brother,
Ed ward, in the hospital at Edmonton,
N. W. T., of typhoid fever. Mr. Toug-
her wrote to his brother about three
weeks ago, and received a reply from
some one who had opened the letter, in.
forming him of the death of Edward,
which had occurred some time previous.
No further particulars of the sad occur -
once are at hand.
