the council cham er on Tuesday even-

be said to be Ham` ton's own violinist,
and it was a gree r pleasure to hear
him play in his old farm, with the
brilliancy of tech ique for whioh he has
long been noted. Both his solos were
splendidly playa purity of tone and
sureness of inton tion, as of old, being
prominent. He ad to respond to very
marked encores, he andience recalling
him twice after laying of Severn's most
melodious solo. Mr. Fax also played a
beautiful obli$ o to Madame Wright's
first song —Ha Ilton Times, Dec. 1904.
