The high winds Thursday afternoon

stacks at the Unio furniture factory as
one of them was b wn down and com-

signed the contract for the building of
the standpipe and w rk on the founda-

Division Court wa held in Wingham
on Thursday last, wi h His Honor Judge
Holt presiding. A 'lumber of cases
were adjourned ant' next Court and
ethers were settled. Two cases pretty
well occupied the ti e of the Court all

first case was Maguir vs. Forbes. This
is an action for com lesion of $33 00 for
selling farm for defe ant Thos. Forbes
and was tried with jury. A verdict
for $33 was given i favor of Mr. Ma-
guire. R. Vanstone appeared for the
plaintiff and Duche._, Holmes for de-
fendant. The other ;ase was Ferguson
vs. Vannorman. dr. Ferguson was
suing to recover the difference is price
of a horse sold by ddenclant to him and
was afterwards pure Lased by Mr. Van-
nornian for less mo ley. Mr. Ferguson
also claimed money fpr keep of horse,
veterinary fees and other expenses. The
notion was dismissed. R. Vanstone for
defendant. H. B. Morphy, Listowel, for
plaintiff.

It is with feelin of sadness that we
this week chronic( the death of Miss
Alberta Rintoul, second daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Alba t Rintoul, which sad
event occurred at he family home very
suddenly on Thu sday afternoon last.
The young lady had been in failing
health for some eeks, in fact ever since
the beginning of chool holidays, but of
late she was stro g enough to be able to
go driving, and a was full of hope that

and death claimed her in a few minutes.
