Two coal cars. on a freight train
coming west on the 13. & G. Mon-
day a. m, lbecame derailed this side
of Dublin and were pulled along the
track for a considerable distance and
until finally they broke away and ran

cut up, dela:ying all trains for several
hours,.
Mr. James Smith, who a few mon-

mile south of town, is making ready

A PAINFUL ACCIDENT.
As Mrs, Arthur Couch was. pulling
doWn a window blind on Sunday her
arm struck a needle which had been
stuck • in the window frame. The
needle penetrated to' the bone and
beoke Oft and the surgeon found ex-
tracting it a spntewhat difficult op-
eration, He succeeded, however, and
the injured arm is now improving:,

CARTER'S FACTORY BURNED. •
About three o'clock last Friday
morning fire was discovered in Mr.
John Carter's factory and an hour
later it was in ruins. The origin- of
the fire is unknown. The building
was used by Mr. Carter for the ma-
nufacture of show cases, etc. He
was insured in the Independent Cash
1V1utual; Company whose inspector,Mr.
Gray, dame up, from ,Toronto on Sat-
urday end adjusted the insurance at
$1000, ,
The building was of brick and was
erected nearly forty years ago by
Mr. Poster and uSed by him for sev-
eral years as a WOolen mill, Then
it lay idle for a period when it Was
bought by Mr. 11 Stevens who used
