ing writ njoy themselves at the rec-
tory. During the evening they called
their pastor to atteation and then
011 behalf of the Sunday school Mr,
William Bailey made 'a neat speech
while Miss E. :Cameron presented Mr.
Jennings with a handsome study cha-
ir. The valuable gift came as a com-
plete serptise, especially when its waa
learned that the chair•haat been de-
liVered and unpacked .and lett upon
the verandah' all evening without his
knowing it. Mr. Jennings takes this
opportunity of acknowledgment - of
the munificent gift and above • all
heartily appreciates the :spirit • that
