SOHOOL NOTES. -The item of last Week's issue regairdingthe action taken by 8.8 No. 5 might haye been mis- leading to some, as MI the frets were not grren. It Might appear that the section was satisfied with the award, but such is not the ease, as, with the exception of two ratepayers, all pres- ent at a meeting on the 171h nest gave their Votes showing their dissatisfac- ..tion.,...51myjmve looked on Quietly while two large parts of their section have been taken, and they feel they have reached the time when patience • ceases to be a virtue, . • AN INTELLIGENT DOG, -About the 151h of May a small white dog came to Thomas Shobbitofee. con. /3, and re- mained there until the Nth, when he was taken to ClhatOn on the train ; but he evidently did not like town life, for he had found his way hack to Mr. Shobbrook's again by the next day at noon. He evidently knows a good Place, and hi hound to keep it. 1•*m••• •••.•••711p•••741.••••;•.17 ----,----J213rucenera--'--:-- 3trisMIV8DOINO—Invitatiou9 are OUt for the necurlage of Miss Maggie Firtheringliam to Mr, Malcolm McKay ' of Goderich, • • Cazurcon -Rev.111i. The third genie in defence 'ef the Hough Cup Was played in the park on Saturday, with the usual result. The visiting team bailed from Seaforth, and brought a number of supporters to Sheer them up. The game was slower than might be expected from a Hough Cup team, but perhaps the locals, finding their oppon- ents weak, were induced to loaf. The home team was not in gOod condition, McKinnon :guttering from an injured toe, and Whiddon being almost too sick to play.
