Atoms win first game
Monday. December 22 the Seaforth Atom
11 team gave themselves an early Christmas
present. Travelling to Milverton, the Atom II
' defeated them 3.1, chocking up their first
win.
Great offensive alae by Matt Vock and
Kevin Van Den Neucker put Seaforth on the
board early in the second period. Milverton
came hack and scored their lone goal a minute
later. Strong ng defence and goaltending for
both teams stymied any scoring chances until
late in the third when Scott Jervis blasted a
shot from the blue line into the Milverton net,
Malt Vock flipped the insurance goal past
M ilverton's goaltender with only .34 seconds
left in the game. Assists went to Kevin Van
Den Neucker with two, Derek Gridzak, Dean
I•lnnigan, Mall McNichol and Dan Dalton all
with one.
Next Atom It grime will be in W ingham on
January 2, when they take on Normanby in
the Silver Stick tournament.
