'Twas the night before
(A cow telling the story)
Twas the night before Christmas and all
through the farm not a animal was stirring not
even in the barn, The feeders were full right
up to the rim with hope Sl. Nick would be in.
The pigs were all nuzzled and snug in their
pens while visions of graincorn danced in
their heads 1 laving down heard such a
clatter 1 jumped over my pen to see what was
the matter. And what should my wondering
eyes should appear but a miniature sleigh
and eight tiny reindeer. With a little old
driverso jolly and quick 1 knew in a moment it
must be St, Nick. Greg Fritz

Why I wouldn't . like to be Santa Claus
1 wouldn't like to be Santa because of all the
houses he has to go to. He works and works to
get everything done. Then he loads up his
sleigh and gets his reindeer ready for the long
trip ahead
He rides and rides until he comes
to the first house, He slides down the
chimney, delivers the gifts, eats the cookies
and drinks the milk then sets off to do this
over and overagain. He must do it evety year

C'11 RISTM AS IS SPECIAL
Jesus was born in a cradle,
W hile the cattle and sheep were in the stable,
Ile was laid in a manger of straw,
Three wise men came with gifts and saw.
They followed a star that was shining bright,
Singing praises to him in the night,
II wouldn't be Christmas without this day,
So let us celebrate in the right way.

CHRISTMAS IS
Christmas is for giving,
For families,
For Santa Claus,
Christmas is for waking up on Christfnas
morn,
And seeing the joy in the eyes of the children.
Christmas is for singing,
Christmas is for laughing,
Christmas Is for wishing and believing.

gets home he has trained 200 pounds and is
blacker than a lire pit. He probably takes a
shower and goes to beds 'l'he next morning he
gets up and starts to exercise to lose some
weight, The kids wake up, play with their toys
and forget he was even there,

The disadvantages of being Santa
-1 really wouldn't want to be Santa. cookies. I'm sure 1 would get sick of feeding
Just think about some of my concerns! 1 the reindeer and feed would get expensive.
might get arterioslerosis from eating so many My dry cleaning bill for the fireplace dust,
that would get on my suit when I went up and
down chimneys would be out of sight, I would
get really really cold in winter in the North
Pole. I might get really bored seeing only
Mrs. Claus and the elves. I sure would get
tired going around the World in one night.
Unless reindeer can talk, it might get
lonesome. •
My story sure makes you appreciate Santa,
doesn't it.

CIIRISTMAS
Christmas is a special day,
For all the children get up to say,
"Hurray for it is Christmas Day!"
They run down to play,
And stop on their way,
For Santa has come today.

CHRISTMAS
Christmas is a special day,
When you go to church to pray,
You share this day with the people you love,
And you give some gifts to your friends,
To show them how much you really care.
You receive gifts from your family,
To say "thank -you",
All for a "Merry Christmas."
