The Provincial Executive of the Ontario
Public School Teachers' Federation recently
endorsed aresolution indicating door-to-door
fundraising in particular, and fundraising by
students.arents or teachers in general, for
the provision of educational aids or experi-
ences considered as normal facets of an
educational program, should be discouraged.
The educational environment in which
today's students participate is exciting and

School Boards but the historical policy of
Provincial Governments. Clearly, the issue of
fundraising in schools is a concern to all
parents and teachers, and requires further
investigation. The resolution that was passed
by the Provincial Executive of the OPSTF was
made with the express intent of reducing
possible risks for youngsters. The OPSTF-
Huron members concur with this intent and
made a similar motion at their Fall District
Meeting.
