Mitchell victory
on November 29 ,the Jr. Belles travelled to
Mitchell to play the team they could not beat
last year. W i1h a great effort by the whole
tea ll Seaton h managed to come home with
an I 1 2 victory over Mitchell in a well played
game.
on December 6 Seaforth travelled to
Forest, and played a very donthiati s seconds
SPat'orth opened the scoring just
in the gamerwith a goal by Amy van den
.5kker. Amy' added four more goals in the
game. Other goals were scored by Taynmy
Nash with four. Jane Rowcliffe with two.
Shelly O'Brien with Iwo, Jackie McNichol
with two and Connie McClure with one.
Assists on goals were by Tammy Nash,
Connie McClure, Jane Rowcliffe and Jackie
McNichol.
The goaltending and defence by Seaforth
was excellent as they held Forest to just three
' goals and tallied themselves for 16. Seaforth
won 16-:1.

The 'Petite Ringette team travelled to
51 itchell on Sal urday, only to come up against
sonx' tough competition.
1l itchell started the scoring on a goal by
Rhonda Jarmuth only two minutes into the
game. Seaforth's Kim Rau assisted by Cheryl
wain tied the score only two minutes

corner. But hying a very close hack and forth
game Kim 1Ltu again assisted by Jennifer
91 orlon scored another goal at the 4:13 mark.
Right up the ice again 51 itchell went ahead on
a goal by Jenny Seiler.
The second period awarded both teams
with one' more goal apiece. tori Chessell
,N1 lichen scored with. six minutes left.
However Kim Rau scored the final goal
unassisted with only :17 seconds left in the
game, to collect a hat Irick.
Seaforth goalie Katie Craig deserves a big
pal on the back lor an excellent game played
holding Mitchell to only 0 4.3 win over her
own team
The next home game will be Sunday at 5
p m against Mitchell

,Junior Farmers threw a nasty scare into

The Farmettes. who at limes during the
encounter matched Perth stride for stride,

don't get me wrong. Perth were deserving
winners hut the Junior Farmers could have

something more substantial. They have
improved much the last couple of weeks and
played a vigorous. energetic game.

the Farmer's HeatherStutzki when, all by her
lonesome. she found herself with the ball in
front of Perth's gaping, inviting empty net
and. somehow. punched the orange ball wide
of the goal It's like suddenly finding a crispy
$100 hill on the sidewalk. Your rapacious
nature takes over and you surreptitiously
glance around to see if anyone is looking and,
when thinking the coast is clear, you bend
(genuflect /down to pick up the cake and just
as your lusty fingers reach for the loot, a voice
roars. "Hey sister, that's mine," Talk about
your coitus interuptus.

mighty Easy Riders on even terms during the
initial frame but couldn't put one into the net.
True to form. Easy Riders settled down in
the second and final stanza and took it to
Winthrop Most of the period was played in
the latter's zone and a marker notched by
Steve Eckert Junior was all the insurance the
Riders needed to remain unbeaten Terry

As each week passes you can see vast
improvement in most teams. Junior Farmers
are one such group and last week pushed
their modest unbeaten streak to Iwo games
by battling the Grads to a 2-2 standoff. The
latter. meanwhile, have now gone a pair of
matches without a win.
Paul Hoggarth and Sieve Faulds plunked
goals for the Farmers.
Replying for the Grads were Adrian
W ydeven. Unfortunately the second Grad
scorer was unavailable at presstime.

..Kinkora knights continued their rise
towards the top of the standings by pounding
the Mustangs 3-0 last Thursday. Mitchell,
playing decently in recent outings were never
in this one as the younger Kinkora dub
simply outran them.
