have read about and slaugghtered the Royals
by a 12-0 tally last Thursday One difference

hotter than Easy Riders. Any escapees from
this ambush may have skeedaddled with
pride only.
The Easy hiders divied up the scoring loot
evenly amongst the warriors as well,
Steve Eckert 'and Roger Morrison had two
goals each but Joe Vink, Dick Robinson, Rob
McGregor. Dave Ilulley, Jeff Allan, Gerd
I lenderson, Jerry Zwep and Randy Wilson all
took scalps as well.

Two teams spinning their wheels near the
bottom of the standings faced each other in
this match last week. And just when you get
your pen all warmed up and ready to go to
work in the penalty column of the score sheet,
They spoil everything and go out and play a
good game.
Ned herclub dominated to any great extent
and there was a paucity of whistles and stops
that kept the match moving right along.

squad. The losers were clinging by their
fingertips after the first stanza but were
rudely kicked over the edge nod into the
chasm during the final period when the
Express powered in six biro tallies.
Bobby Nash led the victorious side by
whipping in three goals.
Dale Kennedy and John Cairns had two
goal outings while Marc Robinet and John
Devereaux added 10 the I'un with singles.

After losing to a heartbreaking 4.3 decision
le the Easy Riders two weeks ago, the
Dumpers entered this. match with total
indifference. They' acted out their weakest
performance of the young season and
Kinkora,jumped all over them and stole a 4-2
decision. •
It was a stale match in which neither club'
will win an award for aesthetic quality.
Four players shared the Knights' scoring
with Wayne .Denham, Jody Durand, harry
Baer and lair, Vink doing the honors. •

The Queens ladies were expected to win
and did just that.
Ilowever, the Junior Farmers. a team that
has trouble even getting shots on net, gave
the event ual *inners some fits along the way.
Heck. they ahnosl scored a couple. But the
gond clubs, like the Queens, find ways to win
anis goals from Norah Eckert, Cheryl Kruse
and Audrey Smith put Them over the top.

Flanagan, with a pretty solo effort, all popped
scores to lead W inthrop to a 3.0 whitewash of
Perth last Wednesday eve.

organization.
Sandra Wilson notched the lone winning
marker for ('airline. Commercial had some
dandyopportunities but. for the second week
running, couldn't finish off excellent scoring
opportunities
Novice finalists, in tournament
on Wednesday, Seaforth Novice travelled
to Brussels to play their scheduled league
game and came away the winners by an 8-1
score.
Seaforth took control of the first period with
Boyd Devereaux scoring two unassisted goals
and Jason Henderson scoring one.
The second period counted one more goal
for Seaforth scored by Shaun Anstett and
assisted by Steve Mclnally.. Seaforth led 4-1
at the end of two.
Seaforth working hard on their passing
skills allowed Colin Devereaux to score one
from the blue line assisted by Mike Hugill.
Boyd Devereaux scored a third unassisted
goal with only six minutes left in the third.
Boyd with this beautiful hat trick wasn't
ready to slow down. His great skating skills
allowed him to add two more unassisted goals
to Seaforth's total.
Scot! Wood played a terrific game trying
for his first shut out, but Brussels' Jamie
Smith snuck one in with only one minute 23
seconds left in the game

went ahead al two minutes. 31 seconds of
the second penod with a goal by Scott Arther

second, came back in the third period, with
three quick goals Only 25 seconds into the
third. Boyd Devereaux scored assisted by
Steve Mclnally Boyd came buck with another

and action packed hockey Scoring the first
goal for the team was Boyd Devereaux at the
7.15 mark Shaun Anstell then scored with
one second remaining in the period giving
Seaforth a two gnat lead
The second penod gained Seaforth two

Iry the third penod the Seaforth Novice
players were playing to their fullest and
netted four more goals. The first goal was by
Shaun Anslett followed by two more scored
by • Jason Henderson. Boyd Devereaux
flipped in another to give himself' a well
deserved hat trick.
Just when Seaforth thought they had their
first shut out game of the season. Mark
Gipson of the W Ingham team scored with 47
seconds remaining. The final score was 8 to 1
for Seaforth.
Assists throughout the game went to Jason
Henderson, Scott Wood. Boyd Devereaux.
Mike Hugill. Chris Marion, Steve Mclnally.
Pat Gridzak. and Mark McNichol.

first tournament of the year. went out full

Jason Henderson started the action with
the first goal seared with only two minutes
left in the first Charles Robertson assisted
the first goal only 30 seconds laser. Parkhill
tied the score on 0 goal by Mike Stanlake
Two minutes into the second Jason

ed Parkhill goals were scored by Steven Feltz
and .ramie Chalmers Roth teams wore out.
