Irene Grimoldily of Seaforth and formerly
of Ilulletl Township died Saturday, Novem-
ber 1, 1986 at the Seaforth Community
Hospital. She was 87.
Born November 19, 1898, she was the
daughter of the late Benjamin Riley and Mary
Ann W right. She was married February 20,
1918 to Robert Grimoldby at the family home
in Kinburn. She was a member of the
Northside United Church.
Mrs. Grimoldby is survived by one
daughter Olive (Mrs, Kenneth Betties) of
Seaforth and by two grandsons, Paul Betties
of Stanley Township and Gary Betties of
Seat',. th. Also surviving are five great
grandchildren. •
She was predeceased by her husband and
by two sisters and two brothers.
The family received friends a the Ball and
Falconer "Box Funeral Chapel", Seaforth
where a funeral service was held Monday
with Reverend James Vanslyke of Northside
United Church officiating.
Pallbearers were Michael Betties, Donald
Lamont, Douglas Riley, Fred Buchanan,
William Millson and Kenneth Preszcator.
Flower bearers were Pamela Betties, Jill
Betties, Julie Betties and Ken Betties.
Interment was in Maitlandbank Cemetery.
OBITUARIES
JOHN L. MOORE
John (Jack) L. Moore, of Seaforth died
Saturday, November 1, 1986 at the London
Psychiatric Hospital in London. He was 64.
M r. Moore is survived by daughters, Laura
(Mrs. Gordon Hoggarth) of Hullett Town-
ship, Kendra Bird of Oshawa, Cheryl (Mrs.
Robert Strohm) of Thorndale, Wendy (Mrs.
Don Tremeer), of Clinton and Penny (Mrs.
William Osborne) of Bright, Michigan; and
sons, John of Seaforth and Jeffrey of Oshawa.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and
three sisters, Onalee (Mrs. E.C. Lowrie) of
Lambeth, Marian (Mrs. Angus Maclean) of
Seaforth and Von (Mrs. Harry Biseniers) of
Inglewood.
The family received friends at the W hit-
ney-Ribey Funeral Home until Tuesday when
funeral services were held. Interment Malt -
landbank Cemetery, Seaforth. A Legion
memorial service was held at the funeral
home Monday.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's
Foundation would be appreciated as expres-
sions of sympathy.
Friendship Circle celebrates anniversary
The Friendship Circle of First Presbyterian
Church celebrated its 25th anniversary on
Sunday, November 2. The group, which was
formed in 1961, supports the Sunday School,
Explorers and the Junior Choir within the
church. as well as supplying gifts for needy
children in Huron County every Christmas.
The nursing homes are entertained and
patients visited. The Friendship Circle hosts
church suppers, bake sales and also provide
nursery service every Sunday morning.
Sunday's celebrations began with registra-
tion at 10:30 a.m. It was followed by the
church service in which past and present
members took part. Assisting Rev. Barber
were Irene Nicholson, Julie Ranson, Barb
Rivers, Sheila Morton. and Anne Mulholland.
Carol Ann and Madonna McQuaid accomp-
anied Carol Carter on their violins.
Following the service everyone was invited
downstairs for lunch. Peopleabstripfilm rowsed
through photographs and enjoyd
taken nearly 20 years ago.
Past members attending were from Port
Carling, Midland, Kerwood, Stratford,
Mitchell and the Seaforth area.

spent Sunday with' Rose Ryan.
W ILLIAM J, KINAHAN
William J. Kinahan of W ingham and
forinerly of W est W awanosh Township, died
Monday, October 27, 1986 at the W Ingham
and, District Hospital, He was 61.
Mr. Kinahan is survived by his wife, the
former Mary Kennedy; daughter, Genevieve
(Mrs. Robert Gibson) of Kitchener, and sons,
Gordon, of Newmarket, Leo of Toronto and
William at home, (Mrs. Bill
Also surviving is a sister, Mary
Metcalfe) of Goderich and a brother Michael
Kinahan of Lambeth.
Mr. Kinahan was predeceased by his son
Robert in 1977 and his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Augustine Kinahan,
Friends called at the McBumey Funeral
Home in W ingham and a Maas of the
Christian Burial was celebrated at St.
Augustine Roman Catholic Church, St.
Augustine. Reverend Father Frank Denting-
er officiated. Interment St. Augustine Ceme-
tery. Family prayers were held in the funeral
home.
Donations to the Huron Perth Lung
Association or Sacred Heart Roman Catholic
Church, W ingham Building Fund, would be
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
ANN BOS BINNENDYK
Ann Bos Binnendyk died Tuesday, October
21, 1986 at South Huron Hospital in Exeter.
She was 81.
Mrs. Binnendyk is survived by sons, Henry
(Hank) and his wife Yvette of Kippen and Bob
and his wife Lynda of Edmonton, Alberta,
and a daughter, Gerda Vennema and her
husband Gerald of Burlington.
Also surviving are several grandchildren
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and
three sisters and two brothers in the
Netherlands.
Mrs. Binnendyk was predeceased by her
husband Arie Binnendyk.
A funeral service was held Thursday,
October 23 at Bethel Reformed Church,
Exeter with interment in Exeter Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations
may be made to the South Huron Hospital
