A scale for the performance of Statute
Labor, WO, was adopted as follows:—
Assessed up to 21000, 2 days work; from
21000 to $2001', 3 days; from 22000 to
21'000, 4 days, and for every other $1000
assessment or any fractional part thereof
one additional day. The amount to be
charged for non•performed statute labor
was reduced to 753 per day, instead of
•$1 per day as formerly.

Toronto, March 29 —Sellers had the
live stock market all their own way to-
day and they forced the local trade to
pay very high prices for their supplies of
cattle and small stuffs. Considering the
quality of the marketings, prices of
cattle were easily up 20c to 15c per cwt.,
while sheep were Ise to 25c per cwt.

north to south. It includes a large
section of good agricultural land, count-
less water powers, and good mineral lo-
cations.
