OBITUARIES
GORDON HAYS
Gordon Hays of Detroit, Michigan and
formerly of Seaford), died laliday, October 3,
1986. He was 83.
Mr, Hays was ason of the lute Colonel R,S.
Hays and Mrs, Hays of Sperling Street in
Seaford), And while a Detroit resident for
many yeas muutahnod a keen interest In
Seaforth and was a frequent visitor hoe.
Mr. Hays is survived by his wife, the
former Katherine F,cken; one daughter Pat
and her•husband Bill Shine of Michigan,
Also surviving is a brother George of
Seaford) and a sister, Mary Bumstead of
Owen Sound.
A funeral mass was held in Michigan,
Visitation for friends in Seaforth was held at
the Whilney-Ribey Funeral Home on Tues-
day, Interment was held at St. James
Cemetery, Seaforth later the same day.

Bertha Margaret MacGregor, of Hensall,
died Monday, October 6, 1 ,6 n. ti„ South
Muton Hospital in Exeter. St" was 15.
The former Bertha ('orb, t , Mrs. Mcc
Gregor was a longtime con,spnndent for the
Seaforth Huron Expositor.
Mrs. MacGregor is survived by children,
Donald and Gwen MacLaren, of Oakville and
grandchildren Jodi Lynn and Donald Brooke,
Also surviving are her sisters Dorothy
Parker of Hensall, Edna Mae Sangster of
Huronview and Evelyn Schroeder of Hensall,
She was predeceased by her brothers Jack
and Edward.
Friends can visit at the Hensall Chapel of
the Michael P, O'Connor !'Lest Homes
until W ednesday when u funeral service will
he conducted at 1 p.m. Reverend Kenneth
Knight will officiate. Interment to follow in
Hensall Union Cemetery.
A memorial service under the auspices of
Amber Rebekah Lodge 349, 1lensall, was
conducted in the funeral home 'Elacsday.
As expressions of sympathy donations to
the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation
would be appreciated.

Russell T, Bolton, of 1111 1, Seaforth, died
Sunday, October 5, 1986 at the Seaforth
Community hospital. 11e was 84.
A native of McKillop Mr. Bolton was the
son of the late Scott Bolton and Mary Pr'yco,
Active in the Seaforth Agricultural Society
Mr. Bolton also extended his interest to
include membership in the Iluon Plowmen's
Association where he was a longtime
secretary until his retirement in 1982. He was
also active in the Huron Federation of
Agriculture since its founding In 1941 and a
former president,
Mr, Bolton was the World Champion for
hay for 10 yens at the Royal Winter Fair and
was elected as one of the founding directors
of the Ontario Wheat Producers Marketing
Board, in 19511 and served until 1972.
He was a longtime member of the Seaforth
and District high School's board and a
member of the Cavan United Church in
Mcl(lllop Township, He was the returning
officer tor the provincial riding of 1.1uton-
Middlesex and for the federal riding of
Iluron-Ihvice and had participated In elec-
tions prior to his retirement in 1975,
Mr. Bolton married his wife, the former
Edna Johnston, also of McKillop Township,
on June 13, 1927. She predeceased flim four
weeks ago on September 6, 1986.
Mr. Bolton is survived by sons Arthur and
his wile Maie of McKillop township and
Mac and his wife Ann o1' Walkerton.
Also surviving are four grandchildren and
two brothers lanais and Harold, both of
McKillop Township.
Ile was predeceased by one brother Elmer
and one sister bene Jamieson
The family will receive friends until 2 p.m.
today at the Whitney -Whey Funeral I'lome

Mr, Wammos was born In Culemborg,
Netherlands on March 3, 1915 to parents
Adrianus and Cornelia (DeKnuyf) Wiimmes,
Ho was marled on January 20, 1943 in
Culemborg, Netherlands, to Maria Van Raay
who survives her husband.
,Mr. and Mrs. W amines came to Canada In

they lived until 1954, Fora brief period of six
months they lived in the Dublin area, In 1955
they bought the farm en lot 12 Concession 7 In
Hulled Township whore they fanned until
then' retirement, The couple still resided.

Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Clinton.

Besides his wife:he is survived by throe
daughters, Mrs, Leo (Corry) Sanders, RR 4,
Brussels; Mrs, Maris Mina/ Bos, RR 2,
Seaford); and Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Brindley,
RR 1, Holyrood; two sons, Adrian of RR 2,
Seaforth and John Jr, of RR 1, Clinton; four
brothers in Canada, Case and Gerry, both of
Blenheim, Adrian of Godeich and William of
Bothwell; and four brothers In Holland,
Fried, Matin, Ancone and 'Theo,
