ON THE GREENS by Carolanne Doig Rain hampers golfing The way the weather has been going lately we'll have to hire Lloyd Bridges to be our head pro. We have been closed to golfers for six out of the last 14 days and it has certainly cut into our valuable golfing time. It's pretty difficult to psych yourself up fora golf game when you have to wear a ram suit, carry an umbrella and put spikes into your hipwaders. As they say in the snow belt, "At least you don't have to shovel it." In spite of thepoor conditions and the iffy skies several golf vents occurred at the local course last week..On Wednesday the Huron County Roads Superintendents enjoyed golf and a meal in sunny but soggy conditions. Thursday evening there were a few fellows out for men's night with Larry Broome and Ron Hildebrand taking first place. in Match Play competition Jason Patterson defeated Danny McNaughton to win the Sills Trophy and Gail Price defeated Carolanne Doig to take the Seaforth Golf and Country Club's Match Play Plaque.
