The Huron Expositor, 1986-08-13, Page 5SPORTS THE HURON EXPOSITOR Seaforth Mosquitos gaining respect Hard work is finally paying off for the Seaforth Mosquito Soccer team. In Goderich last Tuesday the team totally dominated play for most of the game, Some momentary defensive lapses gave Goderich a 3-1 lead after the first half. Seaforth's goal of the period was scored by Mike Weber. In the second half the team proved their stuff by coming hack with two goals by Abdulai Kanu and Jeff Weber. Excellent goaltending by David Soontiens and good two-way play by Kevin Mdllwain kept Goderich off the scoreboard. The last five minutes were especially exciting as both teams tried to break the tie. Seaforth's pressure produced numerous scoring chances, including a penalty shot, but the Goderich goalkeeper did his ,job and kept them out.
