Permission forms needed
THE SEAFORTH-W EST BRANCH
GAMES will be held Friday, August 1 to
Sunday, August 3. The bus will be leaving the
Seaforth Community Centres tentatively on
Friday, August 1 at 1 p,m. If you are
interested in going, we must have permission
forms filled out unless you will be accompan-
ied by your parent(s). We must imow as soon
as possible to make arrangements with our
Sister City. Thank you for your interest and
participation.
The 10th ANNUAL LH.Z.RA. SPORTS -
FEST willbe held on August 15, 16 and 17 in
the town of Port Elgin. The games are filling
very quickly with mens sio-pitch and mens
ball hockey both full. The nest of the events
still have some openings, so if anyone is
interested in going to Port Elgin, please call
the Recreation Office at 527-0882.
LH.Z.RA. HOSTS VOLUNTEER W ORK-
SHOP. Ryon are involved in a non-profit club
or organization and would like to polish your
fundraising or leadership nrganizational

The Association is sponsoring a one day
conference for volunteers entitled "The
Important Business of Running Your Non -
Profit Organization."

clubs and fraternities in Huron, Pe , Grey,
Bruce and North Wellington Counties.
The workshop met with much success
when first offered last September With 100
volunteer executivemembers taking part.
This year's conference should bring the same
results with a topnotch list of professional
resource people offering sessions on the
following topics: Feuding and Managing
Your Organization; Comniunicatiqn SklUs
and rime Management; and Fundraising. A
keynote address entitled "The Challenge to
the Volunteer Executive" leads off the
conference.
The Volunteer Workshop will be held at
Walkerton District Secondary School on
Saturday, September 27, 1986. Cost per
person is $25. and lunch is included in this
price.

Woman has won her division in the Annual
• Goderlch 10 kilometre Classic run,
kon Devereaux, -plaead first' In the
Women's Gpen category, With a time of 41
triliudes,. 29 seconds, finishing ahead of
AudreyMcCabe, of Acton, who posted a time
of 42:25. .
. There were 87 competitors in seven
categories taking part in the seventh annual
event.
Mosquitos win one
over Ooderich 4-2
The Seaforth Mosquito soccer team con-
tinued its wnnlng ways this week, recording
a4-2 victo over the always -strong Goderich
team.
Adulai Ianu, Greg Preszcator, Michael
Pearce and tobby Vanden Henget all scored
goals for tbe Seaforth side in the victory.
Goalkeeper avid Soordiens backstopped the
team to the win.
Mosquito coach Ross Weber was impress-
ed with the play of his team, particularly since
they lost 7-3 to Goderlch the last time the two
teams, met.
"They oo tinue to show startling improve-
ment," sal. Mr. Weber of his team's play.
