Graduation exercises for Grade 8 students
of St. Columban School were held on
Thursday, June 26.
The graduation mass was celebrated at St.
Columban Catholic Church at 11 a.m. by
Msgr. C. Adams of Mitchell.
Following mass awards were presented to
the graduates. Sportsmanship Award went to
Sherri Maloney; top academic male student
was Chris Vogels; top academie female
student was Sandra Claessens; most court-
eous student award went to Sandra Claessens
and was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Frank

At 7 p.m. the Grade 7 students, along with
their mothers served a dinner in the parish

Re Passing Tree Cutting By-law
Tho now County of Huron true cutting by-law, being 8y -low No. 23.
1986, became effective April 4, 1986.
The main changes from the previous by-law are --
1) clarification of the measurement provisions In determining
whether a tree has been cut undersized; and
2) o requirement that every person. logger or fuelwood cutter
who is planning to cut trees for purchase or sale shall notify the
County Clerk's office in the prescribed form at least five (5) work-
ing days prior to any cutting.
Copies of the by-law may be obtained, free of charge, from the Clerk's
office or the Tree Commissioner.

The evening concluded with a dance for the
graduates and Grade 7 students and a game
of cards for the parents and teachers at the
school.
The graduates were Jim O'Reilly, Chris
Vogels, Sandra Claessens, Pam Nolan and
Sherri Maloney.
FAMILY REUNION
Fifty-six descendants of the late Daniel and
Bridget Cronin attended their family reunion
on Saturday at the Dublin Community
Centre.
The day began at 1:30 p.m. with Holy Mass
offered by Monsignor Adams at St. Colum -
ban Catholic Church.
Donated prizes were Won by Michelle
Cronin, Brad Benninger, Julie Cronin, Leo
-Cronin, Gord Cronin and Don Benninger.
Several games were played during the
afternoon and in the evening everyone
enjoyed a delicious supper.
Relatives attending the reunion came from
Kitchener, Acton, Seaforth, Peterborough,
Monkton, Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Cromarty,
Mitchell, W aterlooellbboume and Dublin.

attended the family reunion on Sunday at
Delaine Cronin's, Dublin.
Mary (Holland) Fawcett of Clinical Record :
Services at London Psychiatric Hospital
retired on June 27 after 35 years of service. A
tea honoring Mary was held on Friday in the
hospital dining room. Attending were the •
staff of Clinical Records, several doctors and
nurses, Mary's husband John, her four
sisters and brother Stephen and his wife, also
Mary Moylan of St. Columban.
A surprise 80th birthday party was held on
June 28 for Grace (Moylan) Dalton at the
home of Joan Newcombe, Georgetown.
The family, with the exception of Dorothy ;
were all present. An afternoon of fun and
swimming was enjoyed by all. A full course
dinner was served by Grace's daughters.
Attending the celebration were Joe ,and
Mary Moylan of Waterloo, Mary Moylan of
St. Columban, Don Moylan, RR 5, Seaforth
and Catherine Janossy of Mississauga.
The large birthday cake was cut by Grace
while h er 22 grandchildren and two great
grandchildren sang "Happy Birthday.'
About 200 people attended the Delaney
Reunion at the Dublin Pavilion on Sunday,
June 29.
