The son of the late David and Mary Ellen (Johns) Chappel he is survived by two Sisters, Ellen Vivian of Staffa, and Janet Dearing of RR 2. Staffa, Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mr. Chappel was predeceased by two brothers, D. Edward Chappel (1981) and T. Wilbert Chappel (1983). Friends visited Wednesday in the itensall Chapel of Michael P. O'Connor Funeral Homes and a funeral service was conducted Thursday with Rev. Stanley McDonald officiating. Interment followed in Staffa Cemetery. He was 69. Mr. McBrien is survived by his second wife, the former Margaret Hunter of Brussels. He is also survived by one daughter Maxine (Mrs. Paul Jackson) of California, and a stepdaughterJoan (Mrs. Ken Miller) of Brussels. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Grace Landsborough and one son David. The family will receive friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street, West after2 p.m. today (Wednesday) until 2 p.m. Thursday when funeral services will be held.
