PEOPLE
The Seaforth Ladies lawn bowling mem-
bers held a short meeting May 8 and then
housecleaned the club house.
The opening date for lawn bowling is
Monday, May 19 at 2 p.m. Bowling will be
followed by a potluck supper.
During the summer the ladies will bowl
Monday afternoons at 1:30. New members
are welcome. For more information call

Mrs, John Kunz and Ina McGrath attended
their granddaughter Mary Katherine (Katie)
McGrath's Hirst Communion at St. Joseph's
Church, Acton on Mother's Day. Katie is the
daughter of Bill and Mary Anne McGrath.
Katie's uncle Danny McGrath also attended.

CONCERNING A PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN
AMENDMENT CONSISTING OF A
SECONDARY PLAN FOR McKILLOP TOWNSHIP
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of
Huron will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 18th, 1886 at
8:00 p.m. at the Seaforth and District Community Centre in Seaforth
to consider a proposed official plan amendment under Section 17 of
the Planning Act.
The proposed official plan amendment would affect all lands lying
within the Township of McKillop, as shown below. The Secondary
Plan will Include policies for Agriculture, Natural Environment,
Urban, Extractive Resources and Institutional land uses, among
others. The Secondary Pian will also include severance policy for the
Township. A draft copy Is being sent for information purposes to all
ratepayers within the Township.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written
or verbal representation either In support of or in opposition to the
proposed official plan amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed official plan
amendment is available for inspection at the Huron County Planning
and Development Department, Court House, Goderich, between
8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and at the Township Municipal Office.

hospital in the middle of the night and also

Being h, relatively good physical condition
is an advantage in any sport and golf is
certainly no exception. Any well rounded
fitness program will help lower your scores,
and the nice thing about golf is you will get
in shape as you enjoy the game,
Ladies and Mens nights were off to a good
start last week, thanks to good weather and
keen golfers. The ladies enjoyed a delicious
potluck supper after their golf. The winners
at the first men's night were: Ken Doig Sr.,
Kevin Bennett, Jim Watson Jr., Bob
Henderson, Phil Hoggarth and Jerry
Wright. Men are reminded to sign up as
soon as possible for the local match play
championship for the Brad Smith -Don Eaton
Trophy as well as the Crown Life Pm Am
qualifying.
Ladies are reminded to sign up for the
ladies Match Play championship to begin in
a couple of weeks.

The largest number of canvassers we've ever
had... volunteers who are helping us help those
citizens who aren't as fortunate as we are. -
Now we need your help when they come to your
door with their packet of seeds. The bright
marigolds will gave you enjoyment all summer
but more than that they'll remind you of the part
you played in enriching the lives of our fellow
citizens.
We, as trustees of your contributions, carefully
use these funds for programs not covered by
govemment grants, special equipment for train-
ing and community awareness and prevention
activities.
Your response to this arrnyof helpers has, to the
best of our knowledge, been the best of any area
in Canada. That's great encouragement to those
of us who serve on the board and some fifteen
committees.
