Nursing Home in attendance.

YOUTH FORCHRIST
South Huron Youth for Christ held their
last indoor rally for the season Saturday night
at Huron Centennial School, Brucefteld with
a large number in attendance, Director Ron
Westlake opened the rally with several
choruses.. Ruth Gower of Goderich was at the
piano. The opening prayer was said by Rey.
Bob DeGraw of Centralia. Quizzing tizn
followed with three teams taking part as
others could not attend. Results were:
Clinton` first, Exeter second and Bayfield
third. As these were the quiz finals for this
season, Robert Steclde, quizmaster, present-
ed the trophy to the Clinton team. The coacli,
Steve Rathwell thanked all the quizzers, and
the board bf Y,F,C.
Thetrophy will be placed'inClinton High
School,
Mr. and Mrs John Gowerof (;pilerich have
been responsible for making up the ques-
tions. The board members wilt'sponsor an
appreciation night for all quizzers at the
schogl on Thursday, May 15.
The annual chicken barbecue will be held
on Saturday, June 1,4 at Ken Gascho's park
Zurich. Tickets will be available to all board/
members at $5.25 or $3.75• for children,
The rally was then turned over to Marilyn
Edgeley, a Gospel singer and speaker from
Belleville.
PERSONALS
Mrs. 011ie Cooper, Hensall and Mrs.
Dorothy Kyle of Richmond Hill recently
returned from Hawaii, after spending 17 days
with Shay Tours of Willowdale in conjunction
with Trade W ind Tours of Waikiki Beach. The
scenery was beautiful while the temperature
remained between 80 and 90 degrees for the
entire time.
BASEBALL UNDERW AY
The baseball season seems to be gettinfi
underway in Hensall with groups of all ages
participating.
THIRD PLACE
Jim Dickins rode his Hully Gully Honda to a
third place finish in the 80A class at the
season opener at Hully Gully on May 4. The
track was fast and well-groomed with
changes from previous years.
Jim finished third in the first race with the
fourth place bike within 100,40 hie rear
wheel, , In. the second mots ;'lips had a
comfortable lead over the Deg ,contender.
JimliWt be racing at Motopark near Deeidtam
next weekend as it is the final qualifier for the
Toronto supercross.

April was a very popular Month for
birthdays in 'the Queensway Nursing Home.
Several residents from both the Rest Home
and the Nursing Home joined in the birthday
celebrations last week, Those who celebrated
their birthdays in April were Albert Miazga,
Murray Howe, Ross Thompson, Clayton
Mathers, Dora Hogarth, Muriel Gunning,
Reta Upshall, Margaret Smith and Margaret
Coyne.
On Monday, April 28 the Hensall Presby-
terian Church ladies ran Bingo. It was well
attended.
On Tuesday, Rev. Richard Hawley per-
formed the weekly church service, Josie
Rychman was the volunteer pianist.
On Wednesday residents enjoyed the best
movie presentation yet. It was entitled,
"J.T," the story of a shy lonely Harlem boy,
whose only friend is an old one -eyed alley cat
named Bones. It was an excellent movie.
'On Thursday afternoon the Rest Ho
Ladies Baking Club met . to make bra
muffins, They were absolutely delicious.
On Saturday afternoon several Nursing
Home residents met in the Activity Room for
an afternoon bf crokinole and shuffleboard.
All had a good time.

Mohawk College in Hamilton for his final
term, Greg Hoggarth has returned from
Aurora where he was teaching at St. Andrews
College. Greg goes back to University of
Waterloo to continue his studies in math.
Janet Hoggarth spent several days in

Seaforth District High School.

McQuaid received 5350 in scholarships at an
awards night lost Tesday evening in
Stratford.
The money is sent to their teachers in
agreement to further their musical education
The girls say this is their best year yet and
all their work and dedication is just starting to
pay off.
Mrs. McQuaid expressed her delight and
agrees the three girls are easy to educate
when the help themselves so well.
