Pat Ryan back on top in bowling
Seaford) Health Care Facility residents
went bowling Monday with Pat Ryan the
winner. Jimmy Tatulis and W ilma Brill were
winners Tuesday in the wheelchair bowling.
Tuesday afternoon was spent watching a film
of a friend and her horse in a barrel race and
another on birds of Northern Ontario.
W ednesday afternoon Rev, Barber held a
worship service with Henrietta Brown on
piano for the hymns. A social hour followed,
On Thursday morning a fitness for fun
exercise class was held then Shirley Luther of
the Salvation Army held a service,of worship
and song. Prior to the service Da Gardner
presented a pink flower corsage to Shirley on
the occasion of her birthday and residents
sang Happy Birthday. Also joining residents
for the service were Mrs. Luflier Sr, of
Hensall and Pat Altman of Seaf—orth.
On April 17 the next resident and volunteer
euchre will be held at 2 p.m.
Friday morning bingo was played with Eva
Netzke, Dorothy Carter, Cassie Nicholson,
Wilma Brill and Elmer Bakscy winners,
In the afternoon Father Caruana held mass
for the residents of the parish and talked to
them on the fighting in his country of Sibra.

Horticultur elists

drying methods
Those attending the meeting of the
Seaforth Horticultural Society got a new
insight into the process of drying flowers and
plant material. Guest speaker was Jeanette
Martin. She also offered for sale drying
compound and other products useful in
drying flowers.
President Steve Hildebrand presided over
the meeting.
The bus trip planned for July to Humber
College Arburitum has been changed to
W ednesday, May 7. Anyone interested in
going should contact Marie Phillips at
527-1302.
An invitation has been extended to the
Seaforth Society from the Hensall Society to
attend their meeting at the Hensall United
Church on May 19.
The 1986 yearbooks were distributed and
thanks was extended to the yearbook
committee for an excellent job. The
commit-
tee m t
tee members are Mary Chapple,ys
Finnigan and Helen McNaughton.
The Ontario Horticulture Association con-
vention will be held in Peterborough from
June 24 to 26. Anyone interested in attending
should contact a member of the executive
before May 19.
The next meeting of the horticultural
society will be held on May 14 at the school
and the topic will be herbs. A plant will be
given to all present and some will be offered
for sale.

sale, held at First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth, on Saturday. Clothing, books and many

Discuss senior games
The Seniors Games were among a number
of topics discussed at the regular meeting of
the Seaforth Happy Citizens. Flfty-six
attended that meeting.
Seniors were reminded the Old Tyme
Dance contest will be held at the Community
Centres at 8:30 p.m. and five pin bowling at
the local lanes on April 18 at 2 p.m. The
registration fee for all events is $1.
There will also be a crokinole tournament
in September and the spring zone rally will be
held April 16 (today) at McKay Hall in
Goderich.
Winners of the senior's euchre this past
week were; ladies high, Chris Souter; ladies
low, 'Grace Pepper; lone hands, Dorothy
Townsend; men's high,Marg Smale; men's
low, Bert Walters anlone hands, Mary
McIver. ,
Before starting their meeting the seniors
observed a moment's silence for their friend,
Morley Storey.
