Lodge picks convention delegates

The regular meeting of Morning Star
Rebekah Lodge was well attended with Noble
Grand Barbara Watts in charge. After
opening Lodge a lengthy business period,
consisting of arrangements for delegates to
attend the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario in
the Royal York Hotel, Toronto in June, took
place. The two delegates who consented to go
were Vera Hastings and Mary Lowe. Plans

EUCHRE PARTY
The Majestic Women's Institute of Brus-
sels held a very successful euchre party in the
library on April Fool's Day. There were 11
tables playing cards. The prize for the high
lady went to Isabelle Craig, high man, Freda
Pipe (playing as a man), low lady, Jane De
Vries, low man, Harold Bolger. Emerson
Mitchell ended up with the travelling prize
for lone hands. The people at the lucky table
were, Marguerite Sanderson, Adah Smith,
Ida Evans and Tom MacFarlane. April Fool's
prizes were won by Isabelle Craig, Freda
Pipe, Bernice MacFarlane, Margaret Me-

The general meeting of the Belgrave
United Church W omen was held recently
with visitors from Calvin -Brick U.C.W. and
Belgrave Presbyterian and Anglican church-
es.
The president, Mrs. Harold Vincent,
welcomed everyone and conducted the
business. It was decided to put a box in the
church for articles for the "Friendship

Those interested in playing ball this season

Bella Debus, Milverton was an overnight
guest with her sister-in-law Ruth Thamer.
They continued on to Goderich to visit the

visited Tuesday evening at the Regele-Hub-
ley home at Seaforth.
Mrs. Stanley Preszcator of Crediton spent

McCallum at RR 1. Walton.
