PARISH DANCE
The annual St. Columban parish dance was
held on Saturday, April 5 at the Dublin
Community Centre with a good crowd in
attendance.
Three spot dance prizes were won by Tony
and Karen Van Bakel (2), and Bob and Ruth
Duffy.
Rob and Debbie McCulloch, Jodi and Amy
of Waterloo were Easter Saturday guests of
Gerry and Karen Ryan.
We wish Joe Nolan, a patient in St.

RUTH LAING
Cromarty congregation joined with Hib-
bert United for the annual Good Friday
evening service in Staffs. The service was in
charge of Ernest Dow, with Rev. Kenneth
Knight preaching the sermon, It Is Finished.
A joint ladies' chorus sang "Why?" with
Mrs. Elmer Dow at the organ.
Rev. Kenneth Knight and the choir entered
Cromarty Church on Easter Sunday singing
the firstiwo verses of The Old Rugged Cross.
The last two stanzas were sung at the
conclusion of the service. Rev. Knight spoke
on the theme, The Prince 'of Life, and the
choir sang Blessed Redeemer with Mrs. Ivan
Norris at the organ.

The W.M.S. of Cromarty Church sponsor-
ed a potluck dinner on Good Friday for all the
ladies of the congregation. Following the
meal, Mrs. Charles Douglas presided for the
Easter meeting of the W MS, using the
service from the Glad Tidings entitled Three
Gifts of Easter. Mrs? Mervin Dow, Mrs. Mac
Lantond, Mrs. Jim Miller, assisted Mrs.
Douglas.
During the business, Mrs. Miller displayed
the in memoriam plaque that will be placed in
the basement in memory of the Mrs. Calder
McKaig who was a very faithful member of
the Women's Missionary Society.
LariJo Gardiner and Heather Patterson
played a piano duet, Rain on the Roof, and
Leanne Gardiner and Beth Patterson teamed
up to play Steamboat around the Bend on the
piano.
An Easter filmstrip, The W ater, was shown
by Mrs. Tom Scott and Mrs. Ben Stoneman.
Mrs. Douglas thanked all who had helped
with the meeting.
Easter lilies set tone for meeting
Faster lilies and other Easter decor made a
fine setting for the recent meeting of the
. Rose Robinson and Gertie Driscoll
were in charge of devotions. The theme this
month was based on a Bible Study on the fife
of tile Amnia Peter, Biblltquiz.fgjlewed,on
this subject with Lois Bengewies emerging
the winner.
In the absence of Pastor and Mrs. Horst
Enid Leonhardt read the secretary's report.
Thirteen ladies answered the roll call. Doreen
Bennewies conducted the business.
On April 8 the ladles have been invited to
