Local Mites in Fergus Tiny Tot Tournament
Sixteen of the 42 registered in the Seaforth
mite hockey program participated Saturday
in the Fergus Tiny Tot Tournament. This
unique hockey event is for players ages five to
seven. The Seaforth team faced off against
Mount Forest, and Fergus over the span of
the tournament.
The boys played very hard and extremely
well at passing and shooting and won all three
games. They only allowed one goal against
them. That happened late in the third period
in the game against Fergus.
The tournament was set up on half the ice
surface. Its express purpose was to encour-
age the players to have fun. All the boys in the
tournament received a medal and three boys
were chosen, by the other teams, as the
"hardest working player" in each game. The
boys were: Shawn Anstett, Jered Munro and
Chris Marion.
A different goalie was played in each
game. They were Scott Wood, Chris Marion
and Mark Van Dooren. All the players played
different positions throughout the games.
