Two cribbage teams went to the district competition in Hespler on Saturday. A team of four ladies from Blyth Legion were the winners but one of the teams from Seaforth came third and will have an opportunity to play in the provincial finals to be held in Erin in the near future. Those on the winning team were; President Jack Muir, Ed Baker, Gord MacKenzie and Ken Barry. Also on Saturday another successful mixed euchre was held with eleven tables in play. It followed a potluck supper. Downstairs the dart players had another successful evening of darts. Friday will be the last night of the regular bowling season with the trophy for the top team still to be decided. The "Squawkers" who have spent the winter on top of the league are now one point behind the "Misfits," These two teams are also playing each other on Friday and we hope the best team wins. It is probably the first time in 26 years of bowling the winner will be decided on the final night. The three weeks of playoffs start on April 4, There will be no bowling on Good Friday, March 28. But on Saturday, March 29 the Invitational bowling will be held.
