AND IN THE MATTER OF appeals by the Ministry of Natural Resources, G. Arnold
Campbell, D. and M. Farms lid., and Charles and Linda Thomas in respect of Zoning
By-law 12-1985 of the Corporation of the Township of Grey.
APPOINTMENT FOR HEARING
THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD hereby appoints Wednesday, the 2nd day of
April, 1986, at the hour of ten o'clock, local time, in the forenoon at the Council
Chambers, Township Shed, County Road 16, 5 miles east of Brussels, Township of
Grey, for the hearing of all parties interested in supporting or opposing these appeals.
If you do not attend and are not represented at this hearing, the Board may proceed in
your absence and you will not be entitled to any further notice of the proceedings.
In the event the decision is reserved, persons taking part in the hearing and wishing a
copy of the decision may request a copy from the presiding Board Member or, in
writing, from the Board, Such decision will be mailed to you when available.

Mitchel In shoot out
The Seaforth Peewee hockey team were
forced into a shoot-out when they found
themselves tied at the end of their second
game in the annual Mitchell tournament over
the weekend.
That game, which pitted them against
Milverton, saw Milverton win the shoot-out
2-1, and Seaforth eliminated from the
tournament.
Milverton started the scoring 70 seconds
into the first period. Seaforth tied up the
score a minute and a half later. The score
see -sawed back and forth until the end of the
regulation time. The game ended 6-6. The
shoot-out determined the winner.
Scoring for Seaforth were: Ray Murray
with a hat trick, and Karsten Carroll, Paul
McUwain and Brian Cook, each with singles.
Jason Papple scored in the shoot-out,
In the first game of the tournament the
Peewees defeated Elma-Logan by a lopsided
7-1 score.
Scoring for Seaforth in that game were
Jason Papple, Brent vandenAkker and Ray
Murray, each with two, and Mike Murray
with a single.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Ontario Municipal Board Hearing was scheduled to hear objections which were
received subsequent to the passing of By-law 12-1985, for the Township of Grey.
The purpose of this By-law is to regulate the use of lands and the character, location
and use of buildings and structures and to prohibit certain buildings and structures in
various defined areas of the Township of Grey. The Zoning By-law implements the
Township of Grey Secondary Plan and provides for specific land use regulations' to
ensure that the policies of the Secondary Plan are realized.

Junior Belles win 4-0
Seaforth Junior Belles ringette squad
played their first ganie in the playoffs and
beat Exeter on home ice 4-0.
Tracey Fortune was Seaforth's netminder.
She played a great game stopping many good
shots by the opposing team,
Scoring for Seaforth were Tammy Nash
with two goals and one assist and Shelly
O'Brien and Sherri Kling each with one goal.
The other assist went to Lisa Henderson,
Each of Tammy Nash's goals were unassist-
ed.
Good luck to the girls in their future games.
Centenaires win two in playoffs
The Seaforth Centenaires got off to a fast
start, in their double round robin Junior D
playoff series, with a pair of victories in their
first two games on the weekend.
A 7-0 win over the Clinton Mustangs, at
home Friday night and a 6-3 win over the rival
Brussels Bulls, gives the Centenaires a good
deal of momentum to carry into the six
remaining round robin games.
SEAFORTH 7, CLINTON 0
A five -goal scoring burst in the third period
ensured the Centenaires of a victory over
Clinton, in what had been a well -fought
contest in the first two frames.
Jerry Wright's goal, eight minutes into the
opening stanza gave Seaforth an early lead.
Dave Murray and Kevin Melady assisted.
One minute later, John Dale scored his first of
two goals in the game, assisted by Mike
Betties and Gerard Ryan.
After a scoreless second period, Dale
scored again, less than two minutes into
period three. Betties and Darrell O'Connell
drew assists. Dan Wesenberg put Seaforth
up by four with just over nine minutes left,
with help from Kevin Williamson and Andy
Russell.
The Centenaires finished off the Mustangs
with three goals in the last two minutes and
20 seconds. Russell scored once and Murray
twice, while Pete Bennett assisted on all
three of the goals and Dave Akey helped out
on the last two.
Keith McClure made 32 saves in recording
the shutout,
SEAFORTH 6, BRUSSELS 3
Seaforth and Brussels traded power play
goals, to emerge from the first period with a
one -all tie, Sunday night. Williamson scored
for Seaforth, assisted by Russell and Akey.
Rob Core scored twice in the second frame,
after Kevin Melady scored an early goal on
the power play, giving Seaforth a 4-1 lead
after two periods. Akey, Russell and Ryan all
drew assists in the second frame.
Brussels managed two more goals in the
third period, but W right scored twice to keep
Seaforth ahead by three goals. Murray and
Melady assisted on Wright's first goal and
Murray also pitched in on the second one,

PLAYOFF NOTES
The Centenaires will be at home for their
next three playoff games. Grand Valley
comes to town March 2, followed by Tavistock
March 4 and Brussels on March 8.
The team finishes up the round robin on the
road, against Tavistock March 10; Clinton,
March 11 and Grand Valley, March 16.
High -scoring forward Jim Campbell is still
absent from the Centenaire line-up. Camp-
bell still has casts on both hands as a result of
a late -season injury. He was expected to have
the casts removed some time this week, but it
is not yet known when he will be able to play.
Meanwhile, Barry Campbell, who was
injured for the last part of the regular season,
returned for the game with Clinton.
Zurich trounced
9-2 by Atoms
Zurich came to town Saturday for an
exhibition game with the Seaforth Atoms but
were trounced 9-2.
Steve Papple led the Seaforth scoring
getting six goals. Jason Beuttenmiller got 2
and Steve Hiclmell finished off with a single.
The first game of the playoffs started
Sunday against Mitchell. Both teams played
fast paced hockey, but Mitchell got a couple
of breaks, and at the end of two periods,
Mitchell was ahead 2-0.
Seaforth came out fighting in the third
period and Steve Papple soon got the home
team on the board with a goal. Steve Hicknell
tied it up and it was anybody's game.
Nearthe end of the game, the puck took an
odd flip and ended up in the Seaforth net to
give Mitchell the 3-2 win.
John Moylan and Brian Melady both
played a very strong game in net for Seaforth.
Local Belies
win opener
The Seaforth Belles won the fust game of
their2 out of 3 opening Series against Forest
on Sunday night at the Seaforth and District
Community Centres. The final score was 6-5
but the Seaforth girls held a considerable lead
until well into the last period when some slack
play allowed the Forest team to come within a
dangerous distance.
Scoring for Seaforth were Use Calver and
Pam Campbell with two goals each and
Tammy Taylor and Lisa O'Dwyer with one
each.
Assists went to Lisa O'Dwyer, Tammy
Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Julie Howson, Pam
Campbell and Kendra Popple. The girls
travel to Forest on Friday night and hope to
complete the opening series with a win.
