Group exemplifies youth leadership The leadership of Youth is exemplified in the work of the Huron County Junior Farmers, this according to the Campaign Chairman for the Heart and Stroke Founda- tion, Barney Goldsmith. Despite the obstacles Inherent in co-ordi- nating and canvassing rural areas in the winter, for several years the Junior Farmer Clubs have assumed this responsibility, raising thousands of dollars in the townships where they have been traditionally active. The South Huron Club is responsible for the canvass in Usborne Township. The Howick Club is working in Howick and Turnberry Townships and the West Huron Club co-ordinates the canvass of Ashfield Town- ship. In addition, this year the Seaforth Junior Farmers will be doing part of Tuckersmith Township and the Clinton Club will assist in the Hullett Twp. canvass which is co-ordinated by the Kinburn Forresters. For a number of years, another youth group, the Grade XIII students at Seaforth District High School, have sponsored the Heart Fund canvass in the Town of Seaforth. Teachers Continued from page A3 extra half-time teaching position. The Grade 1 target will be an average class size of 26 across the county. There will be no changes in this portion of the contract in 1986-1987. The elementary school teachers will also get a dental plan starting this September. Amid smiles and nods of agreement from teachers, trustee Parlee said the Perth school board is not leading the way in providing dental plans for teachers. There are only five other elementary teacher groups in Ontario without a dental plan. The board will pay $7.60 a month for a single plan and 316.39 a month for a family plan. The details of the plan won't be final until later this year. The other changes in the collective agreement are mostly what are called word chanes. A- joint committee, to be made up of three teachers and as minty trustees, will study lunch hour supervision practises and report to the board by June I of this year. Teachers' salaries range from a low of 316.102 to a maximum of 545,827. Principals' salaries range from 551.283 to 554,740. CANADWN LADIES CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP LONDON ONTARSO.
