DenHaan was a representative of the
Optimist Club at the time, and Doug Elliott,
hailed from the Icons Club. The occasion was
a Dominion Day breakfast,
Mr. DenHaan and Mr. Elliott are no
longer flipping pancakes on the town's main
street, but they are still there, operating a
new business known as the Seaforth
Financial Services, a business they say will
give Seaforth residents the opportunity to
receive complete financial planning in one
place.
Mr. Elliott has been a representative' with
Confederated Life for eight years and offers a
number of services to the community. He
specializes in pension and retirement plan-
ning with general life, accident, and sickness
insurance. But more recently Mr. Elliott has
expanded his service to clients by adding a
Family Group and Annuity Advisors service.

Elliott is able to devise a "best rate"
investment concept. W hat this means essen-

he deals with are covered by the Canadian
Deposit insurance Corporation (CDIC) which
guarantees all investments fully insured to

"The advantage of this is [can deal with
any company coast to coast although there is
no branch in Seaforth. It's the same thing for

the oldest in the district (it was built in 1932
by Seaforth contractor H.B. Edge) it blended
in well with the streetscape and the ,new
owners determined any changes shuld

As he thanked the owners for their
