Pearl McCallum and Margaret Bennett were in charge of the supper and the devotions all relating to the Christmas theme. Marilyn McDonald conducted the business and gave out announcements. Cleaning the church lists were given out. It was moved to donate $20. to the Nursing Home in Brussels. Santa arrived and distributed gifts to everyone. HOLIDAY VISITORS Christmas Day guests with Viola Thamer were her daughter Unda and Roy Gingerich, Andrea and Lisa, RR 1, Walton, Nelson and Maxine Marks andBlaine, Walton; Brian andSharon Pryce and family of Winthrop: Isabelle Shortreed visited over Christmas with her daughter Louise and Bill Smith and other relatives in Mitchell, returning home on Boxing Day, Margaret Michelle of Stouffville visited over New Years with Ruth Thamer and were dinner guests of Evelyn Holt at Jamestown,. on Thursday they visited Mr. and Mrs, Allan Campbell, Winthrop and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Henderson at Seaforth. Mrs. Bev Stevenson, Ron and Chris spent Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson and other members of thefamily: Ross Leeming of Seaforth and other members of his family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Steele on Christmas Day. Mr. and Mrs. Roily Achilles had 26 members of their family at their home for their dinner on Boxing Day. Jason Thamer of Wheatley visited with Steve Noble Jr. during the holiday season. Viola Kirkby spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Kirkby and Paul. On Boxing Day Viola had her family home including Mr. and Mrs. Lester Machan, Toronto and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Machan and family of Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCall were supper guests with Mr, and Mrs. Harry Snell and Harris, Londesboro on Christmas Day. Christmas Day guests with Mr, and Mrs. Emerson Mitchell and Neil were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mitchell and Holly, RR3, Mr. and Mrs, Doug Mitchell and Robbie,"RR.3, Walton, Luella and Jack Mitchell, Brussels; Helen Mitchell, lestowel; Mr. and Mrs. Don Street, Bluevale. There were 22 members of the Thamer families. on Christmas Day at the home of John and Kim Thamer of Kitchener. Mr.aand Mrs. Ray Huetherand family were guests on Christmas Day with Mr, and Mrs. Jack Holmes and family of Clinton. Boxing Day dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCall were Barry Currie, Brussels; Bev Stevenson, Ron and Chris of Walton. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Humphries had their family home to celebrate their Christmas on Boxing Day. The U.C, W . held their first meeting of the New Year at the church, Thursday afternoon with 15 ladies present. Walton 1 unit was in charge o devotions. Pianist was Edith Wey, Marie Coutts read a poem and Viola Kirkby led in prayer. The.topic on communications was given by Edith Wey. Marjory Fraser gave a summary of the books of the Bible. Business was in charge of the new U.C. W . President Marion Godkin who expressed a few thoughts for the New Year. Marilyn McDonald read the minutes. Anyone saving used stamps are to be left in a box at the Church. it was reported 73 families will receive the Observer. Treasurer's report Was given by Leona McDonald followed with the year end report. The membership fee was voted 'to be the same as last year to be taken in at the unit It was moved to have a musical event again this year, to be left with the executive to set the date, also to make plans for the Thankoffering. The annual congregational meeting will be held Sunday, January 19, beginning with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Delegates to go the Huron Perth Presbyter- ial in Exeter on January 27, will be Marion Godkin, Helen Craig, Olene Dennis and Karen Hoegy. U;C.W, will hold an executive meeting on February 5 at 1:30 p.m. Andy Smith of Milton spent a couple days last week of the holidays with his cousin Chris Stevenson, returning to their grandparents, and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson where Chris stayed overnight till Sunday. Christmas guests with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Reid were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ryan and Mr. and Mrs.. Campbell Wey. Relatives of Bonnie ramble spent over Christmas with her and the girls at the Manse, attending the candlelight service at the church Christmas Eve. Vance Stevenson, of Toronto spent last Monday with his cousin Ron Stevenson, Fred, Kay, Dana and Judd, came that evening they visited for an hour on their way to Sanderson's at Wroxeter. Over Christmas guests with Mr. and Mrs. Allan Searle were Gail Searle, Brampton, Earl, Mary Pennington and Jason of Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Mitchell spent New Years at the home of Luella Mitchell, Brussels.
