The new education will come from a program called the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program for Today, or ADAPT. On October 17 the $eaforth Nursery School celebrates 10 years in this communi- ty. Since its opening in the fall of 1977 with 45 pre-schoolers the .school has , grown significantly to an enrollment of 87 youngsters this year. A group studying unemployment in Huron County has finished its report. The Severely Employment Disadvantaged .program. (SED), which was based in Seaforth, found unemployment in Huron County is below the national and provincial averages at 7.1 per cent.. OCTOBER 21, 1987 The Town of Seaforth will allocate $100,000 of a $130,000 PRIDE grant to downtown streetscaping, with the remainder to go toward upgrading of the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Jack Bedard, Francis Teatero and Gord Rimmer were the recipients of the 1$87 citizenship awards, presented by the recrea- tion department at its annual conference Saturday. Two recreation volunteers from Seaforth were presented with a regional Corps d'Elite award from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism -and Recreation. Bob Dinsmore and Joyce McClure received the awards Satur- day from Melanie McLaughlin, a regional recreation consultant with the Ministry.
