Seaforth Manor on Christmas Day with
residents assembling in the activitiy room
in the morning, The final service of Advent
was held. Lighting the candles were
Margaret Smale and Maxine Elliott and
readers were Patrick Ryan and Ila Gard-
• ner. After the , service a sing song of
Christmas song was held with Mary
Finlayson accompanying at the piano.
Presents from under the well laden tree
were then opened with everyone receiving
gifts. Traditional Christmas menus were
one of the highlights. of the. day.

150 children
attend Legion
Christmas concert
At the annual Christmas concert held the
Sunday before Christmas in the Legion Hall
• approximately 150 children and grand-
children of the members were present. Dur-
ing a short- program the following par-
ticipated: Shelley Lansink, Carl Price,
Vicki Lansink, Brett Moffatt, Tanya and
William Brown, Jennifer De Jong, Pat De
Jong, Jessica Burgess, Eric Johnston, Jen-
nifer and Christopher. Marion. Janelle
Wood, Katie Wood, Karen Delvechio, Jenny
Delvechio, Sarah Johnston, Vickie
Schellenberger,Angela Bernard. Arriving
on time to the tune of Jingle Bells, Santa
made his appearance and distributed bags
of candy to the kids. Thanks go out to Bar-
bara Scott for putting the concert together.
This is the 35th concert she has helped with.
Thanks also to Betty Felker and Peggy
Perkins for helping with the coffee and
cookies served to the parents and
grandparents.
Anyone who hasn't got their New Year's
Eve ticket yet and wishes to attend, phone
the branch or John Lansink. There might be
some tickets left.
Don't forget the branch is sponsoring a
"Levee" on New Year's Day. If any
organization was inadvertently 'missed
please feel free to attend.
Next week the stag euchres will begin on
January 6bowling on January 8 and darts
January 9.

OBITUARIES
WILLIAIYI PETIIICK MILLER
William Pethick Miller of George Street,
Seaforth died at his residence Monday,
December 28, 1987. He was 76.
Mr. Miller was a •retired cabinet maker at
Bosharts and a maintenance man at the
Seaforth Community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife; the former
Valma MacArthur, a son Bruce and his wife
Karolyn of Elmire, daughter Lairane and
her husband Robert Baechler of Goderich
and one step -son Emerson Smart and his
wife Ruth of Newbury.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren
and one sister Gladys Reid of Goderich.
Mr. Miller was predeceased by his
parents, William Henry Miller and Mary
Anne Pethick, one sister Nettie and one
brother Richard.
The fancily will receive friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderieh
Street West, Seaforth after 2 p.m. Wednes-
day until 2 p.m. Thursday when a funeral
service will be held. Interment in Maitland -
bank Cemetery, Seaforth. As expressions of
sympathy donations may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
