What Christmas Means
to Me
By James Stapleton
Gr. 5
St. Patrick's, Dublin
Chrigtmas is a joyful time.
Because Jesus Christ is born.
Because of all the nice songs we sing.
Because of beging with your relatives.
Because it brings your love out in the open
Because Jesus comes into your heart again,
Because of the good feeling inside you
Because you give to others who dont have as
much
Because of all the people who care for others
Because of all the people who share
Becuase you can be with your family
because you can tell God and Jesus you love
them
Because you think of the baby Jesus
who was born in a stable
because there was no room in the Inn,
people from all over came to see the baby
Jesus
That is what Christmas means to me!
Our entire staff would like to
wish you a merry, magical Christmas..

What is Love?
Katie Criag
St. James
Love is when someone cares about
you and not your money.
Just like your mom and dad who
call you honey.
Love is when Jesus was born
because he is our Saviour.
He said we have to change our
behaviour.

That Long Ago Day
by Cindy Visser
St. Patrick's, Dublin
Gr.5 ,
Christmas is a happy time,
Time to pray,
Time to remember,
That long ago day.
On that long ago day,
Christ was born,
He was born in a manger,
Out of danger.
He was born in Bethlehem,
In the straw,
He was born where the cattle eat,
In the manger clean and sweet,
There was a bright, shiny star,
That shepherd saw from afar,
They came to the stable,
To see the Baby Jesus.
Mary was his mother's name,
Joseph was his father's name,
They had lots of love,
To give to Baby Jesus.
The baby didn't get toys,
He got gold, frankincense and myrrh
From the three Wisemen,
He didn't get a coat of fur.
So when Christmas is_finally here_
Don't think of Santa, that will soon be here,
You'll hear people give a cheer,
So open your hearts,
For Jesus is near!
Why do we receive presents,
And put up a tree,
When the birthday,
Doesn't belong to we?
So since Christmas isn't really ours,
Look up at the stars
You will remember what happened
Long ago afar.

Ode to Christmas
by Thomas Wheatley
SPS
On Christmas Eve,
• The lights grow dim,
The children dream,
Of gifts within,
Boxes tied with pretty bows, •
• Outside it silently, silently snows.
Along comes Santa,
In his sleigh,.
The reindeer silently showing the way,
To all the houses in the wort,
As the snow softly swirled.

The Night Rudolph's Nose
Could Not Glow
By Jodie Hugill
SPS
It was the night of Christmas, And Rudolph
was ready to go, But his little red nose would
not glow.
Santa • Claus asked Rudolph why his nose
would not glow,
Rudolph said; "I do not know.'!
Santa Claus went over and wiped Rudolph's
nose off, to make sure it hadn't been covered
up by mud.
He wiped and he wiped Until he saw his red
nose. Then he saw a bright fight glow
through the dark night.
Santa jumpedfor joy and it hit the toy,
Because Rudolph's nose would glow.
io Now and throughout the year,
we wish you 366 days of Yuletide cheer!
