• JOHN JOSEPH (JACK) DOR.SEY
John Joseph (Jack) Dorsey of London,
and formerly of Chicago and Seaforth, died
Thursday, December 3, 1987 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. He was 72.,
Born m Stratford on December 13, 1914
Mr. Dorsey was the son of the late John
Dorsey and former May Williams. He serv-
ed in the Royal Canadian Mr Force in World
War II.
He was raised in the Stratford area and
then Moved to Chicago where he ran a paint
store, and lived for many years. He return-
ed to Canada to retire in London in 1980.
Mr:-Dorseyls-survived-by-nieces;-Mary----
Anne (Mrs. William McGrath) of Acton,
Mary Theresa (Mrs. Thomas Hepburn) of
London and Joanne (Mrs. Jerome Aubin) of
Seaforth, and nephew William Kunz and his
• wife Barbara of London.
• He was predeceased by his parents and
one sister Mary Jane Kunz.
Friends called at the Bali and Falconer
"Box Funeral Chapel", Seaforth and a
funeral service was held Saturday at St.
James Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth.
_ The Reverend C. Catmint' officiated.
-Pall bearers were Arthur Devereaux,
Thomas Devereaux, Themes Hepburn Sr.,
GRADUATES
'STEPHEN ROWLAND, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Rowland, RR 1 Dublin, graduated
November 6 from the Business and Applied
Arts Co-op program at Fanshawe Communi-
ty College, London. He received his diploma
in data processing and business information
systems. He is now certified by the Associa-
tion of Systems Management as a Junior
Analyst. Stephen is employed at Canada
Trust, head officein London, in the systems
development Department.
Patridr—lalone, Wilbert—Maloney—and
D'Orlean Sills. Interment St. James
Cemetery.
JOHN EDWARD TURNER' •
John"Edward Turnet of Huronview and
formerly of Tuckeranaith Township, died in
Clinton Public Hospital on November 28,
1987. He was 88.
'Mr. Turner was born oh September '17,
1899 to the late George Nelson and former
-
Emma Caroline Shipley. On August 31,1927
he married the late Pearl Irene Crich.
Following their marriage, the Turners
farmed on the farm that Mr. Turner was
raised on, and he lived their until wring to
Huronview in 1984..
Mr. Turner was a member of the Ontario
Street United (lurch in Clinton and was a
former member of Turner's Church as well
• as being the,treasurer and caretaker of the
church for many years until it closed. At
that time, he joined the Ontario Street
' United Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Reg T. (Helen) Lawson of Londesboro
and one son George and his wife Nancy of
RR 4 Seaforth. He is also survived by four
grandchildren, John and Elizabeth Lawson
, and Barry and Bonnie Turner.
M. Tamer was predeceased by one
granddaughter Linda Turner; two sisters,
Hattie Turner and Mrs. Fred (Mary)
Elliott; and one brother Harold Turner.
A funeral and committal service was held
on December 1 at Ball and Falconer
Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Reverend
David Woodall officiating, assisted- by the
Reverend David Snihur. Interment Clinton
Cemetery.
JAMES ALEXANDER THOMSON
James Alexander Thomson of Clinton and
formerly of Stanley Township, died Sunday,
November 29, 1987 at his home. He was 63.
Mr. Thomson was a son of the late James
and Barbara Thomson.
He is survived by several cousins.
' A funeral service was held at the Ball and
Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton on
December 3. Interment Baird's Cemetery,
Stanley Township. •

DR. CHARLES TOLL •
•
Dr. Charles Edgar Toll, BA, DDS, former-
ly of Seaforth died Wednesday, December 2,
1987 at the Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich.
He was 91.
, Dr. Toll was born at East Wawanosh
Township and was a son of the late Fred Toll
and the former Martha Kernick. He attend-.
ed school in that township, in Myth and in
Clinton prior to enrolment at the University
of Toronto, where he graduated as a Doctor
of Dental Surgery.
In the late 1920s Dr. Toll set Up a Dental
Practice in the Village of Blyth. He was a
veteran of the First and Second World Wars,
and during World War II served in the Den-
tal Corps.
For many years following the war Dr. Toll
engaged in a private practice in Trail, B.C.
He also practised in London; Ontario; on the
kale Supply Ship (Nascopie); On the
Railroad Dental Car hi Northern Ontario; in
the Carrihbean area for Operation Friend -
Ship and then in Seaforth until his
retirement.
Dr. Toil was also a musician and in the
late 1928s he was instrumental in organizing
a community band in the Village Of Blyth.
He was also co-founder of the Dashwood-
SeaforthCommanity Band, as well as other
bands.
Surviving are his wife, the former Laura
Argue of Seaforth; one daughter Jill and
husband John Farrugia of Cambridge and
one grandchild I.aura Parrugia.
He was 'predeceased by sisters Pearl,
Alfie and Millie and brothers Roy and Fred.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Herne, Seaforth and a ser-
vice and committal were held on Sunday.
Burial will take place later in Blyth Union
Cemetery. •
The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 156,
Seaforth held a Service &burbly at the
funeral home.

WEDDINGS
Happy Citizens hold Christmas dinner.
The Seaforth Happy Citizens held their
Christmas dinner at the Legion Hall
December 3 with 64 in attendance. Head
table guests included Cheryl Ann
Stadelbauer-,Stunpa of Egmondville Church,
Elmer Hayter, Zone 8 President of Seniors
and Mrs. Hayter brought greetings from the
Zone. Cheryl Ann gave a Christmas
message and asked the blessing.

Carols were sung with Kathleen Cahill at
•the piano. A film was shown with Marty
Bedard running the projector.
Euchre followed with the following prize
*inners. Ladles first Helen Byers, Low Eva
McCartney, Lone Hands Wipe Pepper.
Men's first Mary Dalryinple (playing as a
man), Low Ida Diehl (playing as a man),
Lone Hands Elmer Hayter.
Ladies Aid holds potluck luncheon
The Ladies Aid of First Presbyterian
Church held a potluck luncheon for all who
took part in the copper contest. Congratula-
tions to Dorothy Papple and Mary McClure,
the leaders, who reported a total of 447.82.
We were rather disappointed in, the atten-
dance at the luncheon on 'Tuesday,
December 1, as only 15 ladies were present,
compared to 35 last year. Mary McClure
gave several Christmas readings and led in
Prayer. Mrs. Crouch favored with a few
recitations. Marjorie Dale, who had set up a
rieedework display, gave a commentary on
her work. Christmas hymns were sung, and
Alice Reid led in the Scripture reading. She
alsirgave-thetreasurees-report,The-Presi---
dent, Viola Lawson, conducted the business
section, and Mary Riley brought in the new
• slate of officers. The Ladies Aid presented
Mrs. Crouch with a small gift and the
meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.

HULLEY-MUNNINGS •
On November 7, Ruth Anna Jane Munnings
of Clinton, and Wayne Allen Hulley of
Seaforth, were married in Londesborough
United Church. WA. Munnings officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Wilfred Munnings of Clinton and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. KennethRulley of
Londesborough. Maid of honor was Andrea
Clarke of Oakville and bridesmaids were
Stacy Plant and Darlene Hulley, both of
Londesborough. Best man was Mark Mit-
chell of Kitchener and ushers were Kevin
Hulley of Brampton aati Robertpadford of
Londesborough. Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at the Goderich
Township Community Centre, Holmesville,
after which the couple took a honeymoon
trip to Florida. They will be residing in
