LADIES BROOMBALL
PARR LINE 0 QUEENS 0
These two well matched teams were un-
doubtably in harmony as the score of the
game was pretty simple to handle and no
penalties to mention. All players played
equally well. Queens and Parr Line ladies
played, tremendous broomball in the
Palmerston Tournament, a knockout game
to watch, however Parr Line went on to win
the "A" Championship defeating the
Waterloo Rookies in the "A" final.. Con-
gratulations "Parr Line".
..._.__WINTHROP0-COMMERCL%LD.-- ___
Now we talk about a double take or a coin-
cidence but this is remarkable, another zip,
zip game of broomball and no penalties to
celebration. Great playing and goaltending.
PERTH 0 FARMERS 0
The Jr. Farmers are on their way as they
have achieved a game point for a tie. What
we have here is unbelievable as these two
teams kept up the steady pace with their
scoring also zip zip. However, there was
some penmanship as the Perth ladies lost
their cool a little, to receive a penalty. The
ink the Broomball reporter saved could pro-
ve to be beneficial for next week, as you
never know -what-will-happen-Anything-is. _
possible. These were dramatic games to
watch!!
The Jr. Broomball girls led their match
with Parr Line Ladies. It was great ex-
perience for the Juniors. The last this
reporter saw of the play the score was tied
1-1. Good playing Juniors.
Next Week, December 2 at 8:10 pm the
Junior Girls vs Winthrop, at 9 pm Winthrop
vs Perth, at 9:5,0 pm Parr Line vs Commer-
cial and at 10:40 pm Queens vs Jr. Farmers.
CHISELHURST 2 - DUMPERS 5
Everywhere you look you see Rick Ar-
chambault scurrying along popping goals in
here and there and everywhere. You can tell
this guy is keen. What a mean machine. It's
a good job Dale Kennedy is out there to keep
Rick in line and assist him on these goals.
Mr. B. Nash is showing his talent as well
with a bolt of lightening and a flash of
dismay. His creditability goes out to Larry
Dolmage. A blue line shot comes from Jim
Nash. It's like watching a pinball machine
and tallying up the points. Chiselhurst men
had trouble getting started, finally Don
Nicholson trounced a shot also from the blue
line and tucked it in behind the opposing
goalie without him noticing it. Thanks go to
Ben Driscoll for the help. Not to mention Al
Wynja grabs up the rebound from Blain
Marks and Martin Wynja to score a galaxy
goal.
WINTHROP 1- GRADS 2
Robert Wydeven is such a clever player
never resting for a moment. His fundamen-
tal' broomball strategy is next, by tricking
the defenceman into moving the wrong way
and drilling the ball gallantly into the net.
His helper was John McLagan. The blue
eyed Craig Smith is just a foot away from
the opposing goalie and closes one eye and
shoots and he scores. Huh! What a relief it
went in says Mike Vandenheuvel and Henry
Wydeven. However Steve Knight and Brian
McGavin had Nell Mitchell on his kneeabeg-
ging for a pass, surprisingly enough he
received one and scores while still on his
knees.
PARR LINE 3 - RAIDERS 2•'
Little Nurse fellow starts the ball rolling
by receiving a lift shot from behind the net
and allowing it to drop in front of him, then
delivering a follow through motion to score.
Help came from Adrian Salverda. Ed
Salverda gave Mark Sheobl a forsake pass
in which he made contact with scoring a
great goal. Paul Gibbings.sends a line drive
shot into the net to pull Parr Line Men into
the lead. Two quick goals for Raiders were
the highlight of the evening. Scoring were
Jeff Campbell, and Tony Arts. These
Raiders played super broomball and great
passing was shown. Most of all they never
received one penalty, their conduct was just
superb. Great team work shown.
RUSTLERS0-ROYALS 4
Red Rustlers played their hearts out but
couldn't do anything right, not even buy a
goal. Now let's hear it for the Royals as Les
Riley starts the crowd cheering with a
dream goal, helped by Rob MacLean. Star
Jack Van Miltenberg was in the right place
at the right time twice with his dramatic flip.
shot that proves prosperous. Chuck Dow and
John Hamiltongained access to the ball to
help Jack out. This fellow, Tony Van
Miltenberg has worked hard all game and
finally it pays off as he slam dunks a freak_.
goal. With a full team showing finally H.T.
Royals pull into the lead.
MUSTANGS 0 -KNIGHTS 3
Lawrence Vinh and Steve Hulshof are just
a couple of Joe Dorssees teamates who
abide by letting Joe take advantage of a
power play to score. Doug Eidt's domestic
talent has potential as he docks a hard shot
to the net and scoring. Credit also goes out to
Joe Vinh for his assistance. Mark Louwagu,
known as "Marco" gets credit for the last
but not least goal with his cunning know hew
of bringing the ball from behind the net and
gorging it into the corner gap of the net that
wasleftopenfor_him, Good-job_Larry_Baer-
' and Ron Janmatt were there to help him. It
seemed like the Mustangs were all over the
ice and had no control on where the ball was
supposed to go. Mustang goalie had .his
disbelief for shots were coming from
everywhere as he tried to cover all angles of
the net and to hold the game down to a low
margin.
Next Week, December 3 at 7:30 pm it's
Royals vs Mustangs, at 8:20 pm Raiders vs
Red Rustlers, at 9:10 pm Grads vs Parr
Line, at 10 pm Chiselhurst vs Winthrop and
at 10:50 pm Egmondville vs Dumpers.
