Although the entire game was full of great
passes, strong defensive plays made It dif-
ficult for either team to get a point for the
duration of the first and second periods. It
wasn't until the 2:15 mark of the third period
that Chris Marion was able to score a second
goal for Seaforth, aided greatly by Shaun

Centenaires have worst outing
The Seaforth Centenaires had their worst
weekend yet last weekend when they faced
Brussels on Friday in Seaforth and travelled
to Lambeth on Sunday.
Friday the Centenaires couldn't put the
puck in the net as the Brussels defence
denied their every shot. Brussels, although
they are the lowest scoring team in the
league, had no trouble putting the puck in
the Seaforth net and they did so nine times
to win the contest 9-0. "
As if a 9-0 loss was not humiliating enough
the Centenalres topped this on Sunday in
Lambeth. The Centenaires got off to a slow
start in the first period and Lambeth
jumped into an early lead. Brad Carter
scored the only Centenaire goal in the period
assisted by Kevin Melady and Mike Betties.

Lambeth answered the goal with three of
their own.
The Centenaires played a decent second
period, and kept both the shots on net and
the scoring close. The Centenaires didn't
score themselves, but they only allowed
Lambeth to put one past goalie Trevor For-
tune. Shots on goal in the period were 9-10
for Lambeth.
The third period was a defensive disaster
for the Centenalres. Defenseman Brad
Beuttenmiller sustained a cut above his eye
and was out of the play, and assistant cap-
tain Kevin Melady was sidelined due to il-
lness. As the local club was going into the
game short two players.. -Ron Pryce and
Kevin Willimnson- to begin with, this left
them with only two lines.
Lambeth came on strong in the third
period putting away two early goals, and in-
jurbig netminder Trevor Fortune. Bill
Tremeer came out to take his place and face
a barrage of shots. Tremeer came up with 19
saves in the period, but things really fell
apart for the Centenaires and they allowed a
total of 12 more goals to enter the net. They
answered with one of their own Coming
from Rob McEwan assisted by Terry Pugh.
The Centenaires were outshot in the game
44-23 and it ended with a final (football)
score of 18-2.
The Centenaires are now 19 games into
their season and haye only two wins. Their
next game will be December 4 at
Tbamesford, and their next home game will
be December 13 when they face Clinton.
