Seaforth PeeWees
losetwo games
The Seaforth Pee Wees are making it
tough for this reporter to write about. Tues-
day nightthey travelled to Mitchell and held
the team pretty well. They had a bad five
minutes of play where Mitchell kept putting
the puck in the net. Final score was 10-6 for
Mitchell. Scorers5for Seaforth were Steven
Papple with two and Mike Watt with two.
Assists went to Steve Hicknell, Derek
Gridzak.
On Saturday the Pee Wees were at, home a
to Clinton, and the first period was busy
one with Clinton starting the scoring and
always staying ahead of Seaforth. First
period saw-four--for-Clinton_and_two_for
Seaforth, and both teams taking two
penalties. Seaforth got only one m the se-
cond while Clinton got two and then another
three goals in the third.
Scoring for Seaforth were Rob
VandenHengel and Steven Papple with two.
YBC bowlers conduct
buddy tournament
Youth bowling this week conducted a bud-
dy tournament with each member bringing
a friend -to,bowl with. them..__
The YBC bowler bowled the first frame
and the friend bowled the second, with both
scores counting on the same game. This was
a fun time ,with no scores counting against
their averages or the standings. Out of all
the chaos the winners were Noelle Thomp-
son and Christa Leonhardt who bowled a
double of 172 to take the bantam girls. Kevin
McDonald and Shawn Clark were high ban-'
tam boys with a 194 double.
Junior girls were blown away with Tracie
Carter and Sheri Carter with a 472 triple
while junior boys was grabbed by „ Luke
McMillan and Darren Coleman with a 349.
Seniorgirls was taken by Janet McBeath
and Shelly Hayter at 327 while Kevin Dick
and Chris Poland took senior boys with
419.
Seaforth Petites
overpower Blyth
The Ringette Petites met Blyth in a game
Monday, November 16th and came away
with a 10-0 win.
Seaforth goals were scored by Christa
Leonhardt with three and Kelly Rau, Jill
Carnochan, Carrie McLlwain, Jennifer
Marion, Kathy Devereaux, Krissy Holland
and Jill Wood each with one.
Assists went to Carrie McLlwain and Kel-
ly Rau with two each and Jill 'Wood and
Krissy Holland each with one.
Because Blyth is a younger team the
coaches limited ice time for some of
Seaforth's better players to allow younger
players to gain more experience.
On Saturday, November 21, the girls were
to travel to Forest, but due to weather condi-
tions the game was cancelled and reschedul-
ed for Saturday, December 12. The Petites
will be on the road for the next few weeks, so
there will beiio,ho;ne games until,Sunday ..
December 20th at 5 p.m. at whiclt-time they' •
will host Exeter.
