T-he-minutes-of-thedast-meeting-were-read by Secretarry Lion Herb Brown and Lion Louis Kraemers gave the treasurer's report: • • Plans for the children's Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 1st and a New •Year's Eve Dance on December 31st were formulated, with both parties to be held at the, community centre. Deputy District Governor Flavell con- gratulatedthe club on their excellent building and the donations they make to loyal charities. In his talk, he emphasized getting more younger members and retain- ing the older the-eommunity. Joy Scott read scripture from Matthew 5 and gave a meditation on the beatitude, Blessed are the Peacemakers. In her topic on the price of freedom, she pointed out freedom is not a gift, but an achievement. It was not won, it was earned. Betty Lou Norris conducted the Witness when it was decided to hold the December meeting a week earlier, on December 8 at 8 p,m. Plans were also made to participate in the Plowing Match in Perth by providing craft articles id—prizes in the ladies' pro- gram.
