The second regular monthly meeting ,of
the Dublin Lions Club was held on
November 17th in the Community Centre.
President, Lion Dave Kraemers welcom-
ed all members and special guest Deputy
District Governor , Dennis Flavell from
• Kincardine.

by Secretarry Lion Herb Brown and Lion
Louis Kraemers gave the treasurer's

Plans for the children's Christmas Party
on Tuesday, December 1st and a New
•Year's Eve Dance on December 31st were
formulated, with both parties to be held at
the, community centre.
Deputy District Governor Flavell con-
gratulatedthe club on their excellent
building and the donations they make to
loyal charities. In his talk, he emphasized
getting more younger members and retain-
ing the older
the-eommunity.
Past President Jim 'Paratchek thanked
Mr. Flavell for his informative talk arid
presented him with a small gift of
appreciation. -

Get Well Wishes from the community go

accident a few weeks ago and has been In
Toronto Hospital. He has been moved to
Parkwood Hospital in London. His mother
Eileen •reports that he is improving as well ,
as possible at this time,

Sixteen members answered the roll call
on Remembrance at the November meeting
of the Marian Ritchie Women's Missionary
Society last Tuesday evening,
Mary Elliott 'presided and opened with a
reading onthanksgiving. Joy Scott read
scripture from Matthew 5 and gave a
meditation on the beatitude, Blessed are the
Peacemakers. In her topic on the price of
freedom, she pointed out freedom is not a
gift, but an achievement. It was not won, it
was earned.
Betty Lou Norris conducted the Witness
when it was decided to hold the December
meeting a week earlier, on December 8 at 8
p,m. Plans were also made to participate in
the Plowing Match in Perth by providing
craft articles id—prizes in the ladies' pro-
gram. Members will also assist in serving
lunch at Tom Scott's 90th birthday party on
November 29.
