BALLOONS FOUND
While Don Cotton was ploughing on the
Stewart Steles farm on November 9 he found
eight balloons firmly tied together which'
had been released from a school in
Milwaukee. For a week students sold
balloons for 50 cents each to help raise
money for their PTA. Eight students names
were enclosed in the balloons requesting an
answer by whoever found them stating,
when and where they were found. They had
been released on October 1.

for a new addition to the McGavin building

The building was used only until 1932 and
then, along with the red brick school was
sold to Gordon McGavin when the new
Walton school opened in 1962. •
Brian McGavin said the old building was
found to be still very sound when the moving
crew jacked it up and prepared to move it.
The building will be used as an unheated
storage space. Mr,. McGavin said it was
much cheaper to move the old school than,it
would be to construct a new storage shed.
