Seahawks -off to rough start- in regular season
The Seaforth Seahawks got off to a rough
"start in their season last weekend when they
lost a close game on Friday night to
Monkton, and • got bombed by Brussels on
Sunday evening. •
On Friday night, at their season opener,
the Seahawks came out flying in the first
period and showed they have at least some
of what it takes to be a winding team. John
r Daleopened the scoring at 19:35 assisted. by
Dave • Murray and Jim Campbell to get
Seaforth on the right track, and Dave Mur-
• ray gave them a 2-0 lead as he scored with
help from John Dale ,and Don Williamson.

But Monkton couldn't be held down for
long: They came back in the second period
to score three goals and only • allowed
Seaforth to score one. that coming; from
Pete Bennett assisted by Tom Turner, so the

Nesbitt will begin on Saturday, November
14, 1987 and will take place at the Seaforth
and District High School. The program will
last for eight weeks. Children four to seven
years of age will go from 9 to 10 a.rn. and
children eight and up will dance from 10 to
11 a.m. Registration fee Will be $30 per child

The Christmas microwave cooking pro-
gram will begin on Tuesday; November 10
and run for three weeks from 7:30 to 9:30

ferent Christmas dishes in the microwave

from Paul McLlwain and Allan Kling. K.
Carroll assisted. The Oilers then took their
turn at scoring with Jeremy Somerville,
assisted by Steve Papple, and Kevin McLI-
wain and Brent Van Den Akker marking
them up. But, they ran out of time with the
final score being 4-3 for the North Stars.
