Don MacCrae receives! word Sunday on
the passing of his brother-in-laW James C.
Connors, Sarnia. He was .a resident of the
Trillium Villa in Sarnia and was in his 68th
year.
Funeral Mass is being held on Wednesday
morning at 9;30 a.m, Michael MaeRae is to
be a pallbearer (nephew,, of Mr. Connors),
Don and Eileen MacRae and Mike and
Patricia are planning on attending the
funeral on. Wednesday and visitation on
Tuesday evening in Sarnia,

Guests were entertained in a game of
euchre, . men versus women, the women
were the winners. Everyone enjoyed lunch
served by the family.

• 4-H REPORT
The • McKillop No. 4 "Crunchy Bunch"'
held their third meeting on October 6 at the
home of Cora de Vries.
The topic for this meeting. was on cooking
various vegetables. Members learned the
essentials in boiling, panning, microwaving,•
steaming and stir -frying vegetables. Also
discussed at the meeting was how to main-
tain the natural flavor, color, texture and
nutritive value when cooking vegetables.
The meetirig concluded after the

The 4-11 "Crunchy Bunch" held- their
fourth meeting on October"13.
• Fruit production in Ontario was the topic
of discussion at this meeting. •
•, Members. discussed 'how to select and
-store various fruits such• as apples, pears,
cantaloupe, rhubarb, plums and many
more. The members also looked at the many
'different types of apples and pears grown in
Ontario.
The meeting concluded after everyone eh-
joyed tasting Museli, Fruited, Yogurt
Dessert and Fruit Sparkle Sauce which all
members. participated in making. The next
meeting will be on October 20.
