Dr. Maarten Bokhout was on hand for • presentation of the Huron County Board of Health report to council and was introduced by Godericli Township Reeve Grant Stirl- ing, board chairman. Mr. Stirling also expressed the board's thanks to Dr. James McGregor of Wingham, who had been acting medical officer of health since the resignation of Dr. Harry Cieslar. New librarian iiireditor Huron Huron County Council' has given its ap- proval to the appointment of Beth Ross as the new chief librarian for the Huron County Library System, At its regular October session, county council approved a library board recom- mendation that the former Oxford County assistant librarian be appointed to the top position in the Hawn County system. The county's new chief librarian will enter the position's salary schedule at Level 2, $34,996. Ms. Ross was chosen over five other ap- plicants interviewed by the board. Manager's salarystruck by council Huron County Council has approved a board of health recommendation which sets out the salary schedule for the case manager's position in the newly established Huron Addiction Assessment and Referral Program, At its regular October session, county council endorsed the board's recommenda- tion to establish the salary for the position at $25,428 at Level 1 and sealing upward to the maximum $30,836 at Level 7. The Huron Addiction Assessment and Referral Program is funded 100 per cent by the Ontario Ministry of Health, but ad-, ministered by the Huron County Board of Health through an advisory council respon- sible to the board.
