Residents get up after breakfast to go fir a walk only to find when they step outside ,jt's raining: Rack they wine for, their rain coats and umbrellas. What a lot of hassle for some exercise. Since olds and the flu are very catchy at this time, some of the residents are spen- . ding a lot of time resting in order torecover more owe y. On Monday the ladies with hair appoint- ments gathered upstairs to wait their turn. Each lady left with 'a tidy new leek that helped to brighten their day. The bridge club also met On Monday with Agnes. Hunter, Jon Johns, Anne Crerar„ Austin Matheson and Lloyd Rowat joining in on thk- event. Geri Fashions from London were at the residence on Tuesday to present a fashion Show. Outside visitors were also in atten- dance to watch the presentation. The clothes were dila-f6' everyone to see and -then Some volunteers, Marj Maloney, Dorothy Fannie, Mary. C.happle and Ruth 'Bach, modelled some of the Clothing. Jean johns won a white sweater for the door prize. A pair of nylons were won by Mr. Coleman. After the fashion show some refreshments' were enjoyed: On Wednesday Rev. and Mrs. Jim Varislyke were in to conduct a 'church ser- vice. Accompanying the singing was Grace Smith at the piano, 'A great ,number of the residents'gathered upstairs for the service. The singing was heard throughout the halls. Three residents and two staff from the Queensway Nursing Horne in Hensall joined the group. Everyone reported back ,they had a good - day with lots to see and do at the fair.
