Students. offered 'chance to study abroad
Interculture Canada offer's Ontario
students, 'aged between. 15 and 18, the ex-
citing chance to study in more than 35 coun-
tries around the world.
The participants attend high school
abroad; and are hosted by a loving and car-
ing family. Through the exchange of ideas
with their new teachers, friends, and family,.
they learn ',about the • life and customs of
their host country. They also have the uni-
que opportunity to learn and master another
language.
This intercultural experienceisa dream
come true for the teenager who wishes to ac-
quire a certain maturity, and to expand his
personal --skills -` —To achieve self=
fulfillment through mew activities, to have a
sense of belonging among new friends ... I
am gaining more and more confidencein
myself. I find myself doing things, I would
never have done before!! I am learhing to
laugh at my .blunders! i` am getting more.
autonomous, and more able to deal with my
problems," says Marie -Claude Laanglois, a
Canadian participant to Barbados 41'1986.
Interculture Canada will accpt 185,
students. The candidates will be evaluated
on their academic abilities, and most impor-
tant, on their general personality and in-
terpersonal skills. The participants will
possess, among others, flexibility, self-
confidence, open-mindedness, and the abi)i
ty'to meet the various challenges of an inter-
culturaL.experienee.
Participation fee's for Interculture
Canada .programmes ' are not much more
than what lt would cost to have a teenager
live at home fora year. Fipancial assistance
is. available to disadvantaged families.

Departure is in winter or summer, depen-
ding on the choice of country. Final applica-
tions .must ,reach the National Office by Oc-
tober 30th for winter departure,. and
November 30th for summer departure.

Seaforth by the Reverend William Barber.
The bride rs the daughter of Les and Jane
Habkirk of Seaforth and the groom is the son
of Bob and Frances Kinsman of London.
Maid of honor was Lauri Habkirk of Toron-
to, sister of the bride and bridesmaids were
Colleen Maloney of Seaforth and Sherry
'Mennen of Guelph, both friends of the bride. •
Junior bridesmaid was Michelle Kinsman of
Varna, niece of the groom and flower girl
was Emily Cocarell of Sarnia, cousin of the
bride. Best man was Dwight Kinsman of
Usboriie, brother of the}groom.and guests
• were ushered by John Kinsman of. Varna;
brother of the groom and Jeff McKay of
Hensail, friend of the groom. Junior usher
was David McKay of Kippen, cousin of the
bride and ring bearer was Adam McLean of
Goderich, nephew of the bride. Organist was
Carol Carter of RR 2 Seaforth and soloists
were Lori and Lisa Strong of Egmondville.
Guests attended from Sarnia, London, Kit-
chener and Toronto. The Couple honeymoon-
ed in Northern Ontario and now reside at
