Topnotch Feeds thanks customers An Appreciation Day to thank the customers of Topnotch Feeds Ltd. for their years of service and•dedication was held in Seaforth on Friday. The day was packed full of events beginn- ing with a tour of the trill. The tour taught everyone how special blends of feed are mixed, how computers are used to regulate the temperature of a fat and pellet mixture and how the operation has converted from making its own feed to being a feed storing operation. Two guest speakers, both from Ralston Purina, thanked the farmers in their own ways for their service. Dr. Yu Yu, director of research and technology, suggested ways in which snore research could strengthen the quality of fife, make the company snore competitive and provide leadership ,in the field of research. Dr. Yu also told the audience ways of ac- complishing these goals through creative people and technology. He ended his speech by familiarizing the crowd with the goings - On of the company. Bill Kuchuck also thanked the customers saying they make the company perform more efficiently because of their demands fol better quality and service. Bill Armstrong, general manager of the Seaforth plant, also expressed his apprecia- tion saying the celebration was held to thank the "customers in a material",way. He added everyone who participated helped to make the celebration a success. TO brighten the celebration, a comedy team of the Paul Brothers and Shirley of Kirkton olid their best to make everyone laugh by singing jingles about themselves, Seaforth and firemen. Because their many roles required they donn many layers of clothing the Paul Brothers finished With a mock strip act. Other attractions featured at the celebra- tion were contests arranged by the Seaforth Junior Farmers. Included were bale throw- ing, guessing the weight of a pig and guess- ing the ao df a calf. Ali proceeds went towards their cotirrnunity betterment program. A LiTTLB BfT OP COUNTRY -The cornedy team of the Paul brothers and Shirley filled the afternoon with laughter with several skits.
