Topnotch Feeds thanks customers
An Appreciation Day to thank the
customers of Topnotch Feeds Ltd. for their
years of service and•dedication was held in
Seaforth on Friday.
The day was packed full of events beginn-
ing with a tour of the trill. The tour taught
everyone how special blends of feed are
mixed, how computers are used to regulate
the temperature of a fat and pellet mixture
and how the operation has converted from
making its own feed to being a feed storing
operation.
Two guest speakers, both from Ralston
Purina, thanked the farmers in their own
ways for their service.
Dr. Yu Yu, director of research and
technology, suggested ways in which snore
research could strengthen the quality of
fife, make the company snore competitive
and provide leadership ,in the field of
research.
Dr. Yu also told the audience ways of ac-
complishing these goals through creative
people and technology. He ended his speech
by familiarizing the crowd with the goings -
On of the company.
Bill Kuchuck also thanked the customers
saying they make the company perform
more efficiently because of their demands
fol better quality and service.
Bill Armstrong, general manager of the
Seaforth plant, also expressed his apprecia-
tion saying the celebration was held to
thank the "customers in a material",way. He
added everyone who participated helped to
make the celebration a success.
TO brighten the celebration, a comedy
team of the Paul Brothers and Shirley of
Kirkton olid their best to make everyone
laugh by singing jingles about themselves,
Seaforth and firemen. Because their many
roles required they donn many layers of
clothing the Paul Brothers finished With a
mock strip act.
Other attractions featured at the celebra-
tion were contests arranged by the Seaforth
Junior Farmers. Included were bale throw-
ing, guessing the weight of a pig and guess-
ing the ao df a calf. Ali proceeds went
towards their cotirrnunity betterment
program.
