The Cranbrook area was without hydro
for eight hours Sunday night as a result of
the storm which brought down trees at
Walton.
Mr, and Mrs Maurice Newton, Shelburne,
visited Don and Mrs. Cotton.
The Vanuss family visited on Sunday 'with
Harry and Nancy Swinkels and family of
Komoka.
A family' shower for Joanne Wood of the
Wingham. area was held on Sunday at the
home of Leslie and Yvonne Knight.
Mrs. Alf King, her -son Kenneth and wife of
Brantford visited her brother Harold
Smalldon, Brussels, and several cousins in
the area.
Gerald Knight attended a 4-H Regional
Conference held at Centralia College, July

Mrs. MacEngel visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Clark, Stratford and' attended a bridal
shower for her granddaughter Tracy in Lon-
don on Thursday evening.

Services at Kippen United Church will
resume for the month of. August.
The schedule is as follows: ,- August 2 and
1) service to be held in the Brucefield Church
at 10 a.m. August 16, 23, and 30 service to be
held in the Kippen Church at 10. a.m. On
September. 6 there will be services in both
churches - Kippen at 10 a.m. and Brucefield
at 11:30 a.m.

treed, Walton returned home Friday from a
bus tour of Quebec and Atlantic Provinces,
returning home through the New England
States, enjoying their trip with good
weather, only one day of rain for a couple of
hours.
